Moorpark Country Club - The Canyon Crest Golf Course

Greens were recently aerated and sanded. The GolfNow listing did not mention this, it should have. I would have preferred to play somewhere else had I known in advance.

Surprising for a Sunday, was not crowded at all, no delays ever.

Other than being stuck behind 4 choppers who didn't know enough to let a twosome play thru, a very nice day. The greens were okay but they need a little TLC which I hear is on the way in the next few days.

Moor park is in the Top 5 Tracks in the LA area....

Course is a real challenge. requires you to use all parts of your game.

The course is in great shape, as usual, and the staff is a pleasure. The layout of the course and the views make for a great day of golf.

Pro shop guy was very friendly and professional. Due to tee off at 6:56 and was hassled by the starter (John) a good ten minutes beforehand to hurry up and get to the first tee to meet two other guys. When we arrived five minutes early the said two guys had teed off and were playing their second shots. So obviously we waited and then got yelled at by the starter at 6:55 - a full minute before we were supposed to tee off. Course itself was reasonably well maintained with super slick greens. Round finished in under 3.25 hours with time to pick up a sandwich. GPS carts were great giving exact yardages to the pins. All in all a good day. Just be prepared to stand up to crusty starters!

This course was in amazing shape. The layout has 3 different sets of 9 holes with beautiful views. I would defiantly play ths course again. On Golf now this is the top course in Ventura county.

This course has its character . I love it. It's in between moderate & challenging. Nice view & very good food.

Love this course! It is a gorgeous, challenging course, winding thru picturesque canyons. The multiple tee box choices and wide fairways makes it playable by hackers and "experts" alike.

We had a challenging and fun day playing this course. The wind came into play on a few holes. I enjoyed the elevated tee boxes playing from the blues. Played in 4 hours (great pace).

I played at 7am on a Friday morning it was GREAT ! Course is hard but fair. At 7Am I had one group in front of me as a single and they allowed me to play thru. I look forward to playing here again and would highly recommend this course.

First time I played this course I was amazed at the setting. Lived in VC all my life, didn't know it could be this beautiful! I now play MCC every chance I get

I played here a few weeks ago and the course was in PERFECT condition. Every aspect to the condition of the course was immaculate.

I played the Creekside and Canyonline courses.

Creekside is a blast to play. Super-creative holes with massive elevation changes on almost every hole. The course challenges you to take risks because you can "cut the corner" on several holes - if you do it well, you're in prime spot for a major score. Do it poorly and you're OB. None of the holes line each other, so you don't see other players much, and you can lose a ball very easily.

Canyonline is a much easier course. The fairways are wider, the elevation change isn't as drastic (for the most part). It's still a great course, just a lot more forgiving.

I highly recommend this course. For $60 at twilight rates, you can't go wrong. If you don't like spending that kind of money on golf, I understand. But it's worth coming here just to play a course that's this immaculate.

. Held shots well on greens. Fairways didn't give alot of run , but its spring. Course played very fast. Hit 14/18 greens and 12/14 Fairways....Great day

WOW! A Beautiful Course! i had An Amazing time! ONLY if Every Course was like this... The Staff Was Awesome! The Nicest Course I have Played to date. Thank You Moorpark CC For the Wonderful Experience. I Will Def. be back! Maybe it will be my Birthday Gift to Myself.

We really enjoyed playing here because the fairways and greens were in great shape. We didn't see a marshall during our round, and fortunately, there were no slow down issues with anyone ahead of us. We plan to come back even though this is about 90 minutes away. The starter and staff were very helpful and friendly, and they had a nice practice area.

I would recommend this golf coarse to anyone who is good golfer as some shots are challenging.
