Great Course
Absolutely amazing. Challenging course but manageable.
Fun golf course, penal off the tee for errant drivers of the golf ball.
Fun, hilly golf course overseen by a friendly, professional, and courteous staff. Greens in very good shape. I was a dewsweeper and it was obvious parts of the course had been heavily watered to protect the short game experience.
For first-timers, the key to Moorpark is twofold: pick the appropriate tees for your true handicap; and hit the ball straight off the tee where the cart GPS suggests you should hit it. You will encounter several blind shots. Rather than guess, trust the GPS, which I found to be accurate.
Also appreciated the little touches: chalking of the cups made them stand out, which helps put a good stroke on the true greens.
A scenic, hilly, up and down, well-thought out design with a thousand decisions to make. A most enjoyable experience.
my favorite course
Always in impeccable shape. Great layout with three different nine hole course options. I play here at least once a month.
Crestline course in great shape
First time playing here but it won't be my last time that's for sure. I usually play Angeles National. This course was way more scenic and just as challenging. Plus, the GN discount makes it worth the drive from Studio City. I hop around to a lot of different courses but I'm going to play this one at least 3 times a year. It's way better than Sterling Hills & Lost Canyons. Enjoy!
Great course
Course was beautiful. Great views all around the course. I played the creekside and riffling and don't prefer one over the other. Course was green and well kept.
Beautiful and well maintained course just outside LA
In my first journey to Moorpark CC I was more than thrilled with my experience. The course was just over 45 minutes outside the city, but it's well maintained features, sprawling layout, and challenging play more than made up for any inconvenience associated with the drive. I strongly suggest playing with someone who knows the course on your first trip, as I would have been lost on a couple of the blind shots without the guidance I received. Beautiful course, great views of the valley, with friendly staff and conditions unlike any you will find in the city. I will definitely be back.
Had a great time
The course was well maintained and is always fun to play. The practice greens were very smooth and fast although the greens on the course were extremely bumpy around the hole. It seemed that the ground would hold every spike mark due to being wet underneath.
The staff and practice facilities are always nice at Moorpark CC.
The high green fees are a hurdle to playing here more than once a year.
What a fantastic golf course!!
An absolute stunning view in the middle of Simi Valley. The condition of the course is fantastic, pristine as some have mentioned. It is extremely challenging and a straight ball is a must or you're bound ot lose a few balls. Worth playing in every which way you describe it. I took my 87 year old father out and he played great from the golds making this a course that can work for all. Loved it
course was muddy
The course had many mud spots. Gardeners watering as I was teeing off and didn't move out of the way. No water in the ball cleaners.
I have to get back soon.
Great Layout, incredible greens, just a great place to play.
Great value
Look forward to playing again. Great condition. Fair test of ability
