Franklin Canyon Golf Course

Enjoyed playing here. Lots of dead patches. Course could use a lot of water but I had a great day regardless. Met some great people who were fun to golf with and helpful. What more can I ask for.

They are taking pretty good care of the course, some tee boxes are under repair but for the time of year green where it needs to be!

It’s clear the economic shutdown has hurt this course. It’s not being watered and the fairways are dry and hard-pan. The Staff is doing the best they can with limited resources. They are not offering a Jr. rate nor nor honoring Youth on Course.

I've played this course many times and I have never seen it this bad. Not sure if its COVID times or what but the fairways are pretty chewed up and seems like you're hitting off clay at times. Greens are decent though, and carts were cleaned and ready for us prior to arrival. IMO, Not worth it for the price. So many better courses not that far away for same price or cheaper.

Course is hard, dry and in bad shape. I’ve played twice in the past few weeks and my tee times have been delayed 10-30 minutes at least. Pace of play is horrible and there is no Marshal to regular. I played with my 7 year old and they do not offer a Junior rate. I paid full price for a minor just to play in horrible conditions. There were dead carts (no charge) scattered around the course. Save your money play somewhere else.

Our golf carts were ready for us when we got to the course 30 min before tee time. Pace of play was wonderful...no waiting for the group in front of us. Course conditions were fine. Finished playing in 3.5 hours!

The course conditions are Not the best it’s very dry even on the fairway. A lot of trees cut down with yellow tape tee boxes very dry can barely put your tee in the ground. Course needs some work. I won’t be back.

Greens and some fairways are in good shape most of the course is bone dry. Not supprised as it's summer but you get some serious roll.

If you enjoy hitting around, have time to kill and/or working on your game, then this is the course for you. Layout is pretty good but conditions are awful. For such a dry and warm area, why are there soaked water patches on the course? Greens are bumpy and slow on a few, medium on others and of course fast on a few. therefore theyre in consistent. Tee boxes can be alot better but there are so many dry patches, its a shame. Dont bother playing out of the bunkers. A few them are soaked, not raked or looks like beach sand.

This facility is not COVID19 compliant. Yes you have to wear a mask but I KNOW for CERTAIN, the cart guys do not disinfect the cards after previous users. We watched multiple times of cards being placed back in play without thorough COVID19 cleaning. A few carts had garbage from previous users.

I always like playing Franklin, particularly since it's near my home. I was pleased so see some watering and tending to some of the dying trees. Pace seems to slow down some on the back, most greens and boxes were in good shape. If you are in the area check it out!

We’ve played many courses since COVID, and unfortunately we were so disappointed at Franklin. The women’s tees were wretched. The greens were very uneven/inconsistent. Trees were cut down all over and left for dead. Wish our local course would have invested a bit more to sustain itself.

The pace of play was unbearable. Roughly a 5 hour round. Also, I purchased a 2 some time and got paired with another 2 some. Pairing during a pandemic is not only irresponsible but down right wrong. Will not return.

The fairways are very dry, but they are green. Instead of rough there is hardpan, but there is also mud thanks to irrigation issues on multiple holes. Nothing marked ground under repair so it's up to you and your playing partners how you want to deal with the conditions. This is a wonderful layout and sad that it's been in disrepair for so long. Driving range is about 200 yards long before a big hill so you don't see the full flight of a driver or anything you hit over 200 yds unless you aim to the right.
