Franklin Canyon Golf Course

It is in a pretty setting, the staff is very friendly, and the greens are in good condition. The pace of play was 4h30, which is great for a public course on a weekend. There is hardly any grass outside of greens and tee boxes, just a few brown patches. Rough is mostly dirt, as are the bunkers. The course looks nothing like the nice pictures online. Price would be good if the course was in better shape. Otherwise seems steep for a dirt track.

Tee boxes need to be flat. Sand traps need real sand.

Good pace of play, we had a few walkers in front of us but still finished in less then 4 hrs.

Course conditions were good in fairways. Greens in good shape. Weather was great!

Tee boxes are among the worst you'll see, and perhaps to restore some the tee boxes were moved way up. Fairways have a way above average amount of ruts & divots as well.

Greens were inconsistent, some hard, some over watered.

All that said, I like the track, it has a nice mix of holes. Needs TLC

A solid course that forces you to have to shape your shots. The front nine is designed for scoring with a short par 5 to start as well as short par 5 that ends that nine. The back nine is much harder capped off by the 13th hole which is all uphill.

I had a great time playing this course, I just wish the pace of play was faster as I played even with the group ahead of me from the sixth hole onward, yet they didn't want me to join them or play through them. I am sure it is a luck of the draw and nothing about the course.

Lots of room to miss on both sides. Small greens that are much faster than I expected.

The course is challenging especially for a mediocre player like myself.

Slowly putting this course back together. Greens in great shape, Refurbishing several tee boxes, have removed many dying pines over the last few years. Sand traps still need work.

Played on a weekday Monday afternoon was a good pace greens were in good shape.my wife and I had an enjoyable round.

Front desk staff member was rude when asked about $ 1 surcharge bad initial impression fairways were brown in alot of areas. Greens were good. No cart service and no water offered on the corse on a hot day

The weather was great & the course was very challenging!

Some of the Tee Boxes were very dry, ground was pretty hard.

The pace of play was fantastic, great round of golf!

First time playing there. The guy in pro shop helped me with information on the holes. Sold me great golf balls. Marshall was helpful and friendly. Loved the par 3 charity challenge. Played with someone I never played with. We had good times on the course.

We started pretty much on time. Pace of play was somewhat slow but that was mainly due to the twosome we were paired up with. The course needs some work. cart paths cracking and uneven,Tee boxes and fairways need more water/seeding as they are thin in a lot of places.Greens seemed in good shape.

I play this course regularly and it’s a pretty good value for the money, a lot of high and low tee boxes with challenging dog legs and fun obstacles. However this course plays reaaaaaaallllllly slow. If you’re not in a hurry it’s no big deal but you can easily spend 20 minutes a hole and it has happened to me many times.

The bar is ok good selection of beer/wine/cocktails but not a great food selection and food is slightly thrown together.

Greens were good

Fairways were good

Rough or anything off fairway was patchy and awful

Tee boxes were the worst I’ve ever seen. Lumpy on par 4 and 5.....patchy hard to find good grass on par 3

Good layout but needs a lot of improvements. Good course for 20$ during week. 30$ weekend/peak Wouldn’t even pay more than that. There’s nicer courses around for the same price

The course was in great shape, but I’ll tell you what, some holes were a little tricky!

I enjoyed those challenges & learned my lesson!

But I’ll be back soon!
