Franklin Canyon Golf Course

I stayed away from ththis s course for several months due to poor course conditions. Fairways st that time were hard and bare with n many areas. It was probably due to drought conditions.

I was pleasantly surprised that this time the fairways were much improved. You could actually take a divot with your pitches. Greens were relatively good although not sure on what they would read on stimp Meyer.

Enjoyed my round.

Took 5hr 15 min to play. Need I say more. No ranger seen all day to speed up play.

Golf now is a good website for finding golf courses. Unfortunately, there was no advanced notification by Golf Now or Franklin Canyon that was restricted to back nine play due to aeration on the front nine and we had to pay $29.50 to walk. Oh well, win some or lose some.

I love this course but every time I give it another chance it dissappoints due to the pace of play. The marshalls just drive around and do nothing to encourage slow groups to keep moving.

The tee boxes need some work but the course was pretty good and the pace was good as well.

I will play agin the range needs some work and the balls were a little run down,but it was fine to warm up and get going.

We traveled 30 miles not knowing what to expect but the greens and two golf course members was worth the drive.

Kim and Chang walked nine holes and we wished that they would of ride and play 18, good golf but great company.

We played Franklin Canyon in Hercules at noon and

the pace was around 4 hours.

With the starter blessing we started on the 10th tee

which helped.

The course is overall in good condition, green were

mowed and rolled, fairways had some bare spots,

which is typical California.

Great views of surrounding hills, wildlife, lots of

trees.

Great value for money. Tee boxes need work right now but. Other than that good conditions all round.

Played 9 holes with my son Had a great day. Not too slow but took almost 2 hours. We’ll be back.

We played Franklin Canyon at noon as a twosome

with cloudy skies but no rain.

The condition of the course was good, with rolled

greens and some spots in the fairway (typical in

California).

The pace was a little under 4 hours.

Good views of surrounding hills, some wildlife, lots

of birds(including turkeys).

Good value for the money.

Let me start by saying that they are now charging a $1 water surcharge per player when you check in. I wish they would postthat on golf now so it is not a surprise charge when you get there. I really like the course and the greens were very firm with the lack of rain. Also the water hazard was bone dry, but that was a bonus for me. I had a great time and will be back.

Excruciating 3 hour front 9 with up to 3 groups waiting at multiple holes. Back 9 was better at 2 hours and change. Maybe this is the norm for Friday afternoons but I was attempted to quit but stuck it out. Course was in decent shape. Fairways were dried so the ball ran hot on every drive.

We played Franklin Canyon as a threesome at

noon and it played in about 4 hours.

Weather was cold, pace was fine, greens are in

good condition, fairways and rough is groomed by

spotting, typical California (drought).

Staff is friendly.

The course is a combination of flat and hilly

holes with mature trees and good views.

I recommend this course.
