Callippe Preserve Golf Course

This course played as slow as any out there. Waited on every single hole. Lots of really bad golfers who don’t fix their divots or know golf etiquette. Most holes are really short. Not many holes are memorable. Course is in decent condition for the amount of traffic but not great. Could play it again but definitely do not need to. Will not be rushing back by any means.

Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The course is difficult but absolutely enjoyable. Well worth trying.

Course conditions were good except they recently arrested the tee boxes. Pace of play was very good - wonderful day

This course is the best course for an average player. Most holes are not long. But you still have to hit your ball fairy straight - not widely off to right or left. It has several interesting and challenging holes (specially hole 10, 17 and 18), You can mess up your score pretty bad. Overall, the course is in a good shape and well maintained. It sits inside the valley of Pleasanton and provides a great relax scenery view. Even I did not hit well in several holes, I enjoyed playing in this course. I will definitely come back for the challenges!

5 h 40m round is not acceptable. I'm not playing here again.

A warning for all golfers, do not book with GolfNow, I tired to cancel on the phone and in person when I could not make a tee time. Never had a problem before but the Proshop said go on the website and the website it was not able to help me. Got charged for a full round which is a painful pill to swallow, as I do not expect to be refunded when I tried to cancel.

The layout of this place is super fun and they keep it in pretty good condition. Unfortunately that doesn't overcome the awful pace of play. Took us almost 5 hours to get through 15 holes before we quit and went home. Didn't see a single Marshall, but we definitely saw the group with multiple holes open in front of them that was slowing down the entire course. My buddy took his clubs off his cart and pretended to be the Marshall and told them to get moving. This course needs a dedicated Marshall on each 9. Hard to play well when you are taking 20 minutes to play each hole, waiting to hit constantly.

Finished front in 2 hours. Went to snack bar to grab a beverage and 10th tee had 3 groups on it plus one in fairway. Took over 3 hours to play back nine. I don’t know if they let groups off the back but never saw a marshal the entire round.

This is a great track, however I avoid this course as it’s always 5hr plus rounds. Gave it another chance and sure enough 5hr plus round. Marshall’s do nothing or non existent, horrible pace of play management. If they could get rid of slow play this would be a great track until then I’ll give it a year before I come back.
