Callippe Preserve Golf Course

I was told to "Hurry" from both the people in the Pro shop and from the starter. Not only did i hurry but i didnt need too becsuse, the waiting started on hole three. Our group(4) were waiting on the group(2) in front to finish before we were able to shoot. The group was at least two holes down by the time I had to leave (hole 12). 3.5hrs to play 12 holes

This course can be difficult. Very hilly. Not recommended for walking. Greens were slower than expected. Overall the condition was good very considering it is the middle of a very hot summer.

First time playing as I wanted to try a new course away from the San Jose/SV area. I'm glad that I tried Callipe! The course conditions were almost immaculate. The fairways were in great shape, the greens were very well manicured as well. Tough course if you lack accuracy on your drives, luckily I didn't have that issue today. Beautiful views all around.

I finished in exactly 4 hours (teed off at 3pm). Played by myself. Will gladly go back and try to improve on my 88 that I shot today.

Expect a 4 to 4 1/2 hour round. About 2 -3 min wait on each tee box. 2 - 3 holes are car path only (not including the par 3 holes).

This was my first time playing here but it won’t be my last. I thoroughly enjoyed this track. Super fun layout with a great variety of holes. Some require absolute tester golf with less than driver off the tee while others allow grip it and rip

Track is set on a hillside so there is plenty of elevation changes throughout as well as some forced Carrie’s over barrancas

Course conditions are good all around. Greens rolled slower than my liking but they held approach shots well and rolled smooth

Fairways were lush and green thorough. There were a few brown and thin areas here and there but nothing bad.

Tee boxes were level with good coverage and sand traps had decent sand in them.

Kids in the pro shop were very friendly and helpful. Pace of play was slow which is apparently normal for here other than that just a super fun experience. I’ll be back for sure

If you don’t have 6+ hours for a round of golf (on a weekday!) don’t come here. Checked in at 10:45 for an 11:08 tee time. Tee box had a stack up 3 groups deep - not a good start. Two holes in and we were backed up again, with no Marshall to be seen, so sat again for 20 minutes.

Played the first 9 in just under 2.5hrs, made the turn and had to wait another 20 minutes. Not sure if a group stopped for lunch or if they sent a new group out starting in the middle. In either event, the final 9 were even slower than the start, and never saw a Marshall again!

The staff told me this was the norm, so set your time expectations low.

Course is in great shape and I have always enjoyed playing here! The wind and green locations can be quite challenging but make for a fun experience. The pace of play is generally pretty slow here but that’s expected when it’s one of the nicer public courses in the Bay Area. Twilight rounds are a great deal but don’t expect to get a full 18 in. Greens were a little slow but other than that, it's a really awesome course. The greens a big can be a bit brutal. Sand traps were packed in pretty good as well so you had to pick the ball out. Over all I was very pleased and look forward to playing Callippe again soon.

This course played as slow as any out there. Waited on every single hole. Lots of really bad golfers who don’t fix their divots or know golf etiquette. Most holes are really short. Not many holes are memorable. Course is in decent condition for the amount of traffic but not great. Could play it again but definitely do not need to. Will not be rushing back by any means.

Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The course is difficult but absolutely enjoyable. Well worth trying.

Course conditions were good except they recently arrested the tee boxes. Pace of play was very good - wonderful day

This course is the best course for an average player. Most holes are not long. But you still have to hit your ball fairy straight - not widely off to right or left. It has several interesting and challenging holes (specially hole 10, 17 and 18), You can mess up your score pretty bad. Overall, the course is in a good shape and well maintained. It sits inside the valley of Pleasanton and provides a great relax scenery view. Even I did not hit well in several holes, I enjoyed playing in this course. I will definitely come back for the challenges!
