Great golf course, from the boxes to the greens it was very well maintained. For the golfer that strays from the fairway bring a few more balls you can lose it in the rough. Not to mention there is a few blind shots and trouble on several holes. This is a challenging course. We had a lot of fun playing there and have yet to see one in better shape.

Great value for the price. Great practice area. True test of every facet of golf game.

We found this by trawling round the courses local to where we were staying in Williamsburg. It look good from all the pictures on the internet so decided to give it a try.

We were delighted to see it in the flesh. A great course with plenty of challenge hidden in it. It is a fair course in that if you put the ball in the right places you get the just reward.

The course has plenty of wow holes and we found it in excellent condition, the only problem was the weather, we were booked for 18 holes but could only complete 9 due to heavy thunderstorm all afternoon.

Will return to do the whole 18 holes as soon as possible we loved it.

One of the area's gems. Excellent value when booked on GolfNow. Staff at the course very friendly and helpful. This course is very challenging due to elevation changes, narrow fairways, and an abundance of rough. You have to think about each shot and need to be able to place your shots in order to be successful. If you can't do that, you may be needing to replenish your stock of balls at the turn.
Can't wait to play this again.

My wife and I played, through a coupon/discount thru Golfcaddy. WELL WORTH THE MONEY! Our first time there. The weather was beautiful, staff there were extremely friendly and accommodating, and the buildings on the grounds in colonial construction, large and absolutely beautiful, with some nice large water fountains near the fairways. All areas on the course were thick with nice green grass, and A1 greens! Nice challenges on the holes. Nice also NOT being ripped off for the price of drinks, and items in the Pro Shop - all very reasonable.Our compliments to the general staff, and the grounds crew. Excellently done folks! Definitely a course all of you reading this should play. We'll be back!

This is a hidden gem and I love the layout. It has enough for the experienced player and it is forgiving enough for unexperienced player.

You can believe the good reviews. Wanted the best golf we could find from Richmond to Va Beach based on recent reviews and the reviews about this course were spot on. Very well conditioned, large firm greens that roll true, lots of undulation and challenge, fun and interesting layout you'll remember.

Everything I play this course I understand it a little better. Bring your A game and concentration, play from the correct tee and you will have a great time here.

The course challenge almost every shot. There are a few easy holes but you must keep the ball in the fairway. The rough will challenge every shot. The greens are perfect and fast with few if any pitch markes.

Really interesting golf course. Has holes that make you go "wow". One hole has a waste bunker the entire length on the fairway that is dropped down 15 feet from the fairway. Another par 3 has a double tier green where the upper is 10-15 feet higher than the lower. Land on the upper when the flag is on lower, god help you.
Having said that, i wouldn't call it gimmicky. Just fun! But tough.
Bring some extra balls you may lose a few, but definately come play here. Great course!
Oh yeah, a few awesome cart path drop offs.

Everywhere you ball will land whether the rough or the fairway the lie is perfect. No bare spots, crabgrass or "areas under repair". The greens rolled fair and true. This is by far the best course conditions I have played on in the last five years.

If you like a challenge, play here you will need every shot. Great course!

Course in excellent condition. some fantastic holes. got round in less than 4 hours. will definately play again. Pro shop staff were very helpful.

Now one of my favorite courses anywhere. Arthur Hills laid out a challenging course that makes you avoid bunkers the whole length of each hole. It's hilly and beautiful. Greens are excellent. The color of the tee markers could be marked more clearly. Several memorable holes.

Course starts out big and open with some blind tee shots then transforms into a tight wooded course which makes you play a certain shot shape or you will be punished fast greens hard to stick shot on the green a lot of break a tiers

Great course. Great condition. Doesn't get much play. Greens were fast but fair. This was my first round here and I'll play it again.

The course is in beautiful shape. It's always nice to get out onto a nice course with well maintained fairways, roughs that are true to form and greens that are on the fast side,, but running true. If you ever get a chance to play this course I would highly recommend it!

Awesome course for an awesome price...great views and challenging. Truly is a championship style course

First time playing this course, and it was a fantastic experience. A big fan of Arthur Hills Designs and this was no disappointment. Excellent course layout and conditions were very good. Definitely will be returning for another round.

some tough carries-- play longer than yrdg--but many holes very attractive--
rough is not high but very thick

We had the 2nd available time on Sat morning behind another twosome. We flew through the course. The condition was perfect and the layout with a lot of different type holes was magnetic. The greens I thought would be super fast from the putting green but there weren't. If you were going against or with the grain, it was very noticeable though. We will be back even if we have to pay $70 again. Very impressed, even had to take a bunch of photos throughout the round.
