Everywhere you ball will land whether the rough or the fairway the lie is perfect. No bare spots, crabgrass or "areas under repair". The greens rolled fair and true. This is by far the best course conditions I have played on in the last five years.

If you like a challenge, play here you will need every shot. Great course!

Course in excellent condition. some fantastic holes. got round in less than 4 hours. will definately play again. Pro shop staff were very helpful.

Now one of my favorite courses anywhere. Arthur Hills laid out a challenging course that makes you avoid bunkers the whole length of each hole. It's hilly and beautiful. Greens are excellent. The color of the tee markers could be marked more clearly. Several memorable holes.

Course starts out big and open with some blind tee shots then transforms into a tight wooded course which makes you play a certain shot shape or you will be punished fast greens hard to stick shot on the green a lot of break a tiers

Great course. Great condition. Doesn't get much play. Greens were fast but fair. This was my first round here and I'll play it again.

The course is in beautiful shape. It's always nice to get out onto a nice course with well maintained fairways, roughs that are true to form and greens that are on the fast side,, but running true. If you ever get a chance to play this course I would highly recommend it!

First time playing this course, and it was a fantastic experience. A big fan of Arthur Hills Designs and this was no disappointment. Excellent course layout and conditions were very good. Definitely will be returning for another round.

We had the 2nd available time on Sat morning behind another twosome. We flew through the course. The condition was perfect and the layout with a lot of different type holes was magnetic. The greens I thought would be super fast from the putting green but there weren't. If you were going against or with the grain, it was very noticeable though. We will be back even if we have to pay $70 again. Very impressed, even had to take a bunch of photos throughout the round.

Great combination of long and short holes. Beautiful course challenges entire bag. Greens were fast and subtle. Visually striking track with wild turkeys running down the fairways.

Undulating greens and fairway elevations differences throughout this picturesque course make it both challenging and enjoyable. The front nine and back nine have distinctly different personalities that provide a variety seldom seen on one course.

Tough course. Really challenging for all handicaps. I really enjoyed it! Such a beautiful venue...well manicured. A must play course. I played Golden Horseshoe green course and I'll tell you, this course is on par w/ any course in the Williamsburg area.

Boy am I glad we played here on the way home! This is a must play if you're in Williamsburg. We got stuck in traffic and were 25 minutes late…not an issue. Staff was super friendly. Greens were surprisingly hard to read.My golf buddy and I will be back.

First time playing this course so I was a little sceptical with the extremely low rates, when I arrived at the course my mind was blown! I can't believe I played a championship golf course for $30. I'm looking forward to future rounds!!

Not much woods, little to no water, but hello bunkers! Nice course... Really enjoyed it and the facilities.

The reason I played this course is because I could not get a tee time somewhere else. I did a search of courses in the area and found some great reviews on this course. My expectations were fully met. The staff is very friends, the course is in great condition and the pace of play was wonderful. 18 holes in just under 3 1/2 hours.

The course was challenging enough. There are many ravines to play over with plenty of elevation changes. I played to my handicap of 31.

Rental clubs are of good quality. Friendly staff. I did not use the snack bar so I cannot comment on the food and beverage quality.

Every time I go, the course is in great condition. Nicest public course I have played in the area. Overall a challenging, but playable, well maintained course. Great value.

The choice of tees is crucial to success on this course. First-timers should play forward. Dog legs and blind tee shots result in some challenging recoveries to well trapped, undulating greens. Fortunately, the course has an outstanding practice facility. Work on your sand play and chip shots from the rough is highly recommended. So, arrive early, practice, and bring a positive attitude. I definitely will return and give this course a second look.
