Bunkers
I found the bunkers were very much different from one to another, some had sand others no sand and hard pan. I also saw large rocks in a bunker, why ?
Bunkers are supposed to be sand not rocks and not hard pan time to up grade the bunkers to be consistent
Great experience!
My husband and played 18 holes on the Vineyard corse. We enjoyed and it to be appropriately challenging. The only bummer for us is that the amazing 18th was out of commission due to a rotted access bridge to the green. Otherwise a great course!

Even though the course was full . Pause was not bad.
Course was in good shape , except 18 . Didn't make any sense.
City courses falling apart
Club house is falling apart pro shop is weak at best. Played 12/31/2024 this time of year for anywhere the course was in good condition and the greens were good. It’s just sad the city courses are all falling apart and no money is being reinvested. Ventura has beautiful courses some of my favorite. But I feel parks and recreation is taking away the money generated and let these beautiful golf courses fall into disrepair.
Decent
Golf now doesn’t inform you that hole #18 (the island green) wasn’t playable. The bridge was broken so they made a make shift green on the T box on the 18th hole for a 50 yard wedge….
If we’re not playing 18 holes we shouldn’t pay full price
Bad signage
Besides dried out fairways, holes 16 and 17 are marked 12 and 13. Very confusing.
Good value and good greens
Expected more from a 36 hole course
Front 9 was really muddy in spots a lot of overly dead grass. The lakes were green with 0 visibility. The back 9 was in better shape but should have been better for a course in a mild climate like Oxnard.
Much better than what other reviews said (Victoria lakes)
I almost changed our tee time after reading some of the reviews. But, we were glad we kept it. Course was in pretty good shape and greens were rolling nicely. Would definitely make the trip again. My son and I enjoyed the layout and look forward to playing it again.
