About
The Silver Fox Course (formerly known as Jim McLean Course) is one of five 18-hole courses at Trump National Doral Miami. The courses offer a good game for players of any skill level. Unlike the Gold Course at the resort, the Silver Fox Course does not follow a traditional Floridian layout. There are elevated tee boxes and greens and narrow, rolling fairways. The golf course features an interesting variety of holes, short and long. Water hazards come into play on 16 holes of the 18 holes and there are also bunkers situated throughout. The course's signature hole is the 14th, which has an island green.

Greens in terrible shape
I have played the course a number of times over the years and this is by far the worst the greens have ever been. Hopefully they correct the greens as it’s not worth the $. I have played $50 rounds with better greens. Very bumpy and not true.
Not historic of the course.
Great shape and layout
Course was in great shape very Receptive greens rolled great and had good speed to them. We played the cheapest course as well. So I can only imagine the other courses are excellent shape.
Glitzy
The property is amazing. Club house is palatial! Looking out initially was beautiful.BUT…… Driving range was tiny for a four course facility. Grass around chipping green non existent .Give yourself plenty of time to get to this courses first tee 10 minutes at least. Tee times not honored. Teed off 20 late!! This particular course though is kinda beat up and not worth the big price tag!! Staff great! Pace slow but was Saturday and had some young kids drinking and blasting music taking their time. No Marshall. It’s a beautiful place with the price to go with it. But maybe play the other courses. Unfortunately that’s gonna be more$$$$$.
Price is to high.
It’s a trump course so ofc is expensive, but it’s not worth the money. Fine course and though layout, but you can find better courses for less money.
Beautiful Setting
The Silver Fox Course was disappointing. The greens were in terrible condition, making putting much worse than usual. Frustrating to end 2/3 good hits, with a 3/4 putts. For the money and amount of play, they should put more focus on the greens.
There was no beverage or food service, at the turn. It was greatly needed on a hot day.
The layout was beautiful, the company lovely.
The Club House and Lunch were excellent. Robert our server was the best. The Pro Shop staff were not welcoming on check in, nor helpful in purchasing items.
Our two starters were GREAT, friendly and kind.
Experience of a Lifetime
From the moment you drive up toTrump National, proshop, practice facility and then course itself, all amazing.
Pace of play was slow due to the group in front of me. The drive to the Silver course is far (5-8mim cart drive so give yourself time.) Cost for the round was $250 plus tax. Add $20 more for general parking. For a one and lifetime experience I had no problem paying that but probably wouldn't pay that again.
Course was in amazing condition from tee box, to fairway and the greens. Lots of water surrounding the course plus challenging bunkers.
End of round and returning the cart was challenge. Carts and clubs everywhere and hard to negotiate moving around.

Silver Fox Course
The golf course was Beautiful and we had the course to ourselves! The property was beautiful. It was an amazing time to always remember!
Great course
High course and clubhouse. Great manicured fairways and green, green not as fast I expected but good. I played at Silver fox but had to check in at main clubhouse which is BlueMonster Clubhouse. 8 minutes from clubhouse to 1st hole so make go early. Expect to pay $20 self parking or $32 Valet Parking. Quite experienced, will come back..
