The Links at Summerly
About
The Links at Summerly borders Lake Elsinore, southern California's largest natural lake. The Ortega Mountains and the Cleveland Natural Forest are also the golf course's neighbors. Although it feels nicely secluded, the Links are conveniently just minutes from Temecula. The design tumbles across a rolling terrain that is accented with 3 miles of Scottish-style burns. The natural mounding was deftly incorporated throughout the golf course. The rugged landscape, reminiscent of courses in the British Isles, gives it the look and feel of a traditional links layout. It is a formidable test that features heavily undulated fairways and an abundance of kidney-shaped bunkers. Although there are some tricky holes, each one was designed to offer several different playing strategies. Thought and imagination are required, but you will also have to use every club in your back to navigate the twists and turns of the Links at Summerly.

Looks like they are trying
The course did not reseed and the Bermuda is dormant. They punched half the greens, but didn't post an alert? The fairways were missing sections of grass. There was no rough, just gravel type bunkers? Greens rolled well for being really soft. They have a long way to go to reach the level when they first opened.
Summerly
Course was very enjoyable... Greens were a bit on the rough side, but they rolled fast. All in all, a track that makes you think.
ground under repair
I last played this course 3 years ago. I will be bacl in 3 years. Enough said.
Links course
Value for the money was the reason we gave the links at Summerly a shot. We were disappointed by the very poor condition of the greens and below average fairways. The course needs to be seeded badly. Overall the customer service was superb and for $35 it was about what could be expected.
This was the first time playing here. It rained and was windy throughout the entire round. I would play it again under better weather conditions,.
green spot in a dry area
We have played here a half dozen times. We enjoy the laid back feel and the views. The course plays well land the greens are some of the best maintained.
coming back
fairways and greens were the best i have seen, really like the course
A little slow
Course was ‘full’. So pace of play was understandably slow.
Drive it in the fairways and the course is not difficult.
Staff extremely helpful and courteous
The course has great layout
First time playing this course, the layout was challenging because you can get into trouble areas if you don’t know where they are. There were several drainage cutting across the fairways where your ball could roll in to after thinking you stuck it well. I will definitely play the course again and will bring my buddies to enjoy this great course.
Needs some TLC
I’m sure this course like many others is getting a ton of play, but the conditions here, weren’t ideal by any means. Sadly there are baron dirt and sandy spots all throughout the fairways. The 90 degree day we were here the fairways for some reason were flooded in many areas and extremely sloshy from I guess, over watering. The greens didn’t look good but rolled pretty true and fast. They’d look much better if golfers WOULD REPAIR THEIR DIVOTS!!!!!
Links style course in SoCal
For the price, layout and amenities, you can't beat it. It's a little bit of a drive to get there from OC but well worth it. Amazing backdrop with the mountains. I highly recommend it.
