About
Nestled in the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains, Yucaipa Valley Golf Club enjoys a stunning backdrop on most of its holes. The beautifully maintained course is certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. Yucaipa Valley offers the unique combination of being both challenging and affordable, for this reason it's a local favorite. The layout is player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. It's not terribly formidable but the greens can be challenging because of the slope and speed. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides and the occasional water hazard comes into play. The 13th is the signature hole at Yucaipa Valley Golf Club. This tricky par 3 has a severely undulating green bordered by out-of-bounds on the right and water on the left.

Very nice
Top notch facility. Greens were just made very fast. Challenging but nice.
We enjoyed the course and the day of golf at Yucaipa Valley we all decided that we will return for another fun day of golf here looking forward to it, the course plays fun and challenging and is just getting better all the time i consider yucaipa valley my home course however my two friends played it for the first time and really enjoyed it want to come back and play again soon thanks so we will be back to have another go at it.....
Fun course
We played mid morning on a holiday so anticipated there would be slow play. So didnt mind very much. We play here once a month. Good to see the On going improvements to fairways and greens. The biggest disappointment is the damage/large ruts made by carts.

Course under repair
I've played this course many times b4 over 12 yrs. yes, the course needs help, which they are addressing now. many, or most of the greens have patches of new grass, evidence of the new management trying to address golfer's concerns. Every green had a few dozen unpaired divots, sand traps not raked, signs of careless golfers. often the golf carts run low on power, die on the course, sometimes you wait for a cart after you check in. lets see those new carts we all heard that are coming soon. ITS A GOLFER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO FIX WHAT THEY DID ON THE COURSE: THATS DIVOTS ON THE GREENS AND FAIRWAYS, RAKE SAND TRAPS.

Very slow play issue
Played Friday morning and 4:30 later finished...just sat waiting at every hole from the start...it’s nice when you can play but the slow pace of play really puts a damper on the day.

No carts
I had a 6:45 tee time and had to walk the first four holes cause the only guy w/ the key to unlock the carts was running late! Shouldn’t the key be accessible to other staff members for this very reason????
Needless to say they did drive a cart out to us and everything turned out fine just a little frustrated before teeing off

Fun course guys behind were rude and played into us few times , course was busy so we were waiting too people need to learn patience

Much improved!
This course is a great layout, with beautiful views. While it did go downhill a couple years ago, current ownership is working very hard, and it has really improved! The fairways are once again lush. Unfortunately, several of the typically pristine, large challenging greens incurred a bout of something, which caused a lot of dead spots, but the crew has been working hard on all aspects, and I can say as a member, I am very, very excited about the current conditions, and even more excited about the prospects for the near future, as it is better each week! Thank you for the hard work to get this beautiful course back to what we are used to!

Good Value
We play this course at least 3 times a month and always find things we like and things that could be improved. We are most happy to have a full size course at a very good price still open in the inland empire. Course is being worked on all the time, we even saw grass seed being spread during our round today and several of the sand traps have been returned to playable the last couple months....still have to call it very good for the price period.

Bummer
Used to love this course. Haven’t played it in about 2 years or so. The positive is the fairly new clubhouse & the staff was kind. But other than that, I Can’t believe how downhill this course went. Range balls were some of the worst (if not the worst) I’ve seen. Half of the greens were patched together & unplayable. Some of the drives that we hit were great drives almost down the middle but we couldn’t find them due to weeds and thick, tall grass. My friend & I just kept laughing at a once beautiful golf course has turned so bad. I really hope they turn it around or I don’t see how they’ll stick around for the long haul.

Course was in good shape minus a couple fairways that are being worked on and also greens but overall took our time and got done in 3:5 hours

Don't waste your time and money!
Course condition and maintenance is as bad as I have seen at any course that is actually open!
You would think that after investing in sod replacement to replace the several damaged areas of the greens; they would at least care for those areas? Not so, the sodded areas are dried out, curling around the edges and have gaps between the pieces! A little bit of sand and water maybe?
I could go on about the lack of maintenance from the 1st tee to the 18th green but I would only be repeating what has been stated in recent posts.
I truly hope that this course can be salvaged, but for now, it's at the top of my "Do Not Play List"
