Miami Shores Country Club, hole 13. Photo submitted by TimGavrichGP on 03/25/2019
Layout
Having a par 3 on 2nd hole creates and instant bottleneck. It does clear up but not a good layout in my opinion.
We were scheduled same time as 150 person tournament
There should have not been t times scheduled during a 50+ cart tournament. We got off late. Weather was horrid with pouring rain.
Beautiful Course
The overall experience was fantastic in fact is the best Course I ever play.
Tough course in the wind
Play Miami Shores about six times. It is a true test of golf with some very difficult holes, especially if the wind is blowing, the layout is challenging and I enjoy playing it. They do need some more signs as there is some meandering between holes to reach the next Teebox, you really have to pay attention to the greens are in good shape the car girl is nice the driving range and putting green to practice on is excellent and even stays open to hit balls. Leave the most courses.
Sisters golf
We were very happy to play Miami Shores for the third time. It’s a challenging course and we were lucky and had very little rain. I really like the course but the fairways weren’t in very good shape and I’d say the course needs a little tic. We did have a fun round and the greens are very challenging.
Nice course true greens
First time I played here. The bag attendants could have been more helpful but once I was in the cart a great time. The greens rolled quick & true with some very subtle breaks to make it challenging. The fairways in very good condition with a lot of roll. Use the score card map for each hole to know any hazards or how the fairway turns. A couple of blind shots. Great fun and if you play it a second time you should do better.
Not worth the Money
For the rate we paid was not worth it. While tees and fairways were not bad, not the best for that rate. Seems the rate was solely because of name.
Beautiful fairways & true greens
The fairways provided a lot of roll. The greens told true with some subtle breaks. On course beverage cart stopped by frequently & staff were friendly. Some blind shots so best to look at each hole layout before teeing off. I was fortunate to have a local telling me where the best places were to approach the green. (Of course I only hit these spots about half the time!) LOL
Definitely recommend and will play again during our vacation.
Pretty good!
We played this morning on a Thursday and had no trouble booking a tee time the night before. $129 per person for non-residents was not bad given the great course conditions. Tees, fairways, bunkers, and greens were all in top shape. Slight wait on the group in front of us, but to be expected as we were a twosome. Every green on the course is elevated, so bring your short game. Layout flat, but enough doglegs and streams in play to keep things interesting Locker rooms had somewhat of a muni feel to them, but had full facilities, including showers. We will play here again!
Good course, bad pace
The course was in a good conditions. Challenging to play as the greens are all small and elevated. The pace was very slow as we had a 6-some in front of course, following a 5-some. No marshall on site. Also odd that the restaurant closes at 600PM. Too expensive for too much hassle, otherwise a great course.
Nice course. Played a little slow 4 1/2 hours
Great layout. Greens very fast. Some of amenities like bathrooms were in need of repair.
Very nice ... but took so much time!
We tee-off 15 minutes late. On 2nd hole, where we were the 2 foursome to wait, we were told that it will open-up after this hole (a par 3). Pace was better thereafter (but we were waiting almost at every shot).... we played in 5 hours! Obviously no marshall was on course ... except on 18th hole where he told us that he will advise foursomes in front of us!!! So ridiculous!
On the other hand, course is great from tee boxes to greens. NOthing to complain!
