Miami Shores Country Club, hole 13. Photo submitted by TimGavrichGP on 03/25/2019
Slow
We left after 4 1/2 hours and still had 4 to play. Not a good place for pace. Condition was decent but not as good as some of the neighboring courses
Slow Pace of Play
after close to 5 hours we gave up playing as we were only starting hole 15. Pace of play was glacial. I now remember why I don't regularly play there
Slow, poor organization,, and not worth the money!
This was our first time to play MSCC. There were no range balls available for warm up. We had arrived early but had to forgo the range beforehand. They were short on carts so we had to wait on getting a cart until it was our turn to head to the first hole. We started 20 min later than our tee time due to poor time management by the starter. There was no ranger keeping groups moving. The course had so many divots it looked like a bomb had exploded on each fairway. We were only able to play 14 or 18 holes in 4.5 hrs. It finally got dark so we’re had to go in prematurely. We had fun playing what we do, but did NOT get our money’s worth!!! Won’t go back!
Service was poor!
No assistance when we arrived at the bag drop-off, no carts available at our time of play, starter was not friendly, no Marshal and the game took 5:20. 2 of our friends had to leave before the end of the game.
However, service at restaurant was pleasant and excellent
Would not recommend this course at 140$ a round.
. Not worth money
This is not a well manage course, took us 5h20 minutes and waited all of the holes really bad service except the reataurant and bar cart.
Waited 20 minutes to start since they did not have enough carts. No bag service, no one to help you once you get there.
Great Times
Played for the first time as I’m not from the area and was more than happy! Great shape , layout is ok , Greens a lil slow but nice! Fair and not overly hard!
Layout
Having a par 3 on 2nd hole creates and instant bottleneck. It does clear up but not a good layout in my opinion.
We were scheduled same time as 150 person tournament
There should have not been t times scheduled during a 50+ cart tournament. We got off late. Weather was horrid with pouring rain.
Beautiful Course
The overall experience was fantastic in fact is the best Course I ever play.
Tough course in the wind
Play Miami Shores about six times. It is a true test of golf with some very difficult holes, especially if the wind is blowing, the layout is challenging and I enjoy playing it. They do need some more signs as there is some meandering between holes to reach the next Teebox, you really have to pay attention to the greens are in good shape the car girl is nice the driving range and putting green to practice on is excellent and even stays open to hit balls. Leave the most courses.
