Mount Dora Golf Club
About
Mount Dora Golf Club is a historic, member-owned golf club open to the public, located about 35 miles northwest of downtown Orlando. The course began to form in 1945, shortly after World War II when returning G.I.'s petitioned the city for land to build a golf course.
A second nine was added in 1959 and the clubhouse was build in the 1960s. Set on just 85 acres, the course bills itself as "The longest 5,700 yards in Florida" thanks to an abundance of water and up and downhill lies that will demand precision over power.

Nice place, just a few things to improve
In general is a great course, ver funny to play. The starter, it's a very nice person. Dónde tees aren in need of work, but I. General the greens and fairway are in great shape to a winter play
Way overcrowded
We had five carts waiting at the Teebox five carts in back of us waiting every Teebox we went to we waited 15 to 20 minutes before we could tee off. My last time playing there.
Slow play
We had a great golf game but, very crowded ! They really need a marshal to hurry golfers up. Golfers in front of us (4) of them had very poor etiquette & would take sever drives & stand around on green & chat. Very annoying. Took 51/2 hours to play 18.
Not anymore
We had five carts in front of us waiting five carts in back of us waiting on every single Teebox. 4 1/2 hours to play 18 Holes Way over sold. Also letting people with pool carts is crazy. From last year to this year the course in my opinion horrible.
Great challenging golf course.
If I could afford to play every day I would my-favorite course.
Love this Course
It’s not fancy and it may be in need of some loving care but it’s fun! It moves along pretty well! And my friends and I love it!!
Definitely a course to play!!
Mount Dora Golf Club
Staff friendly and efficient. Greens were in great condition despite sand treatment. Fairways were in seasonal condition and pace of play was surprisingly quick as we completed 18 in 3 hours.
Mount Dora GC - First Time
Course was in very good shape for Florida “winter golf”. Greens were in excellent condition. Busy the day after New Year’s Day, but pace of play was not an issue. Only thing we found odd was the tight golf cart inventory. We still didn’t have carts at our tee time, so rather than wait longer for carts to come in, we walked the first two holes and then acquired one cart before hole three. I actually ended up walking the entire 18 by choice, and it is a great course for walking. Well kept practice greens for putting and chipping. Super friendly staff.
