Mount Dora Golf Club
About
Mount Dora Golf Club is a historic, member-owned golf club open to the public, located about 35 miles northwest of downtown Orlando. The course began to form in 1945, shortly after World War II when returning G.I.'s petitioned the city for land to build a golf course.
A second nine was added in 1959 and the clubhouse was build in the 1960s. Set on just 85 acres, the course bills itself as "The longest 5,700 yards in Florida" thanks to an abundance of water and up and downhill lies that will demand precision over power.

Love Mount Dora CC Good walk
Great conditions as usual at MtDoraCC. Good hike too.
Great for practicing your straight drives
Generous fairways with only 1 dogleg. Tee boxes were beat up, fairways were in ok condition, no real concerns. Just got it straight and your golden. Shoot my first 85 here today.
Value
The course was in good shape, always kept good, staff very friendly, and 19th hole very friendly and decent prices, Mount dora well worth the money to play there, always a enjoyable time.
Average Course
Greens were decent. Fairways not very good. A lot of hard pan conditions
Let’s play it again!
Let’s play it again! This was my first time at the Mount Dora golf course, but I will definitely be back. Really enjoyed the friendly people and laid-back atmosphere, as well as the challenge of some hills, which I wasn’t expecting. I think I will play better next time, now that I know what to expect.
Fairways & greens were in nice shape
Played late afternoon asking pace of play great.
I particularly like the attitude & assistance the staff
Presents. This is a challenging course with well kept greens and fairways...always look forward to playing here
Love Mt Dora!
Enjoyed it again. Early Saturday morning, super fast, pace of play, consistent greens. Great value. Staff was already cutting up fallen trees from the past few days heavy thunderstorms.
Not worth it even at the discounted rate
Of all the courses I've played in Orlando this was by far the worst. The greens are not able to hold the ball. There are many many brown patches and they don't roll true. The fairways are all weeds. The tee boxes are in decent shape but very bare and patches. The layout is open and okay, but the rest of the courses condition don't warrant the cost of admission, even at the discounted rate.
Decent value
The good: interesting history, fun layout, better than average greens, and friendly staff. The bad: tee boxes and “fairways” (way too many weeds to remove the quotes) are in need of serious care, the pace of play was horrible (5.5 hours for a 5700 yard from the tips track, and if you don’t get to your ball quick someone will pick it up. I’d go again, but not on a weekend.
Long time gem
Played this course back in the 70's when I had a single digit handicap. It seemed short then but enjoyable due to the hills. Now the norm being 7,000 yards it is still fun and won't give you as sever a backache. from swinging too hard .
