About
Mount Dora Golf Club is a historic, member-owned golf club open to the public, located about 35 miles northwest of downtown Orlando. The course began to form in 1945, shortly after World War II when returning G.I.'s petitioned the city for land to build a golf course.
A second nine was added in 1959 and the clubhouse was build in the 1960s. Set on just 85 acres, the course bills itself as "The longest 5,700 yards in Florida" thanks to an abundance of water and up and downhill lies that will demand precision over power.

Great conditions, great customer service, will play again
Hidden Gem
Course is in great shape and the greens were in great shape. They were a little slow due to all the rain we’ve had but that’s understandable. The course layout is what makes this a hidden gem. The elevation changes reminds me of courses I’ve played back home in North Carolina. The staff was really friendly and they even let us ahead of a group of about 20 members so that we wouldn’t get stuck playing behind them even though their tee time was ahead of ours. The only drawback was the pace of play. It was really slow and even though the staff was gracious enough to let us go off early to avoid the big crowd, we still got stuck behind two really slow groups. Just make sure you book an early tee time and you can avoid getting stuck behind a slow group.
OK-ish
Compact course, rough on the fairways. But greens very good, small and difficult. A real challenge. Unfortunately no driving range. Very loud and shouting groups ahead.

Course conditions for this time of year, good, greens are excellent.tees are poor.
Open Local Course
Tree lined fairways with no water hazards, but greens are small and elevated. Course a little dry and sparse in spots. a bit of a drive from Orlando, but price was right. Pace of play slow.
Great Course, staff not so friendly!
Booked online day before 11:02 didn’t go off till 1:20
Staff saying there was no carts and a line to wait for carts then notice multiple single cart riders grouped up as 5 carts. Just not sure how they should handle this but figured I have input on our lovely day what would be better book on golf now or calling main course:) which we did both to make sure
