About
Mount Dora Golf Club is a historic, member-owned golf club open to the public, located about 35 miles northwest of downtown Orlando. The course began to form in 1945, shortly after World War II when returning G.I.'s petitioned the city for land to build a golf course.
A second nine was added in 1959 and the clubhouse was build in the 1960s. Set on just 85 acres, the course bills itself as "The longest 5,700 yards in Florida" thanks to an abundance of water and up and downhill lies that will demand precision over power.

The course was in good condition with the greens being above average. The staff is courteous and helpful. We had a junior golfer in our group and they wanted to make sure that I did not overpay. Very nice! After our round, we had drinks in the bar area. Again, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The prices were the best I have ever seen at a golf course facility. This is a course we will definitely play again and again.
the fairways and greens were in very nice condition. the rough was rough, little grass and lots of sand.

Greens Great; Rest of Course - Decent; Pace awful
I played as a single. A mistake, but there mostly foursomes anyway. Extremely busy and very slow. The snowbirds have arrived for sure. Had to wait on almost every shot - especially on back nine. The positive - the course is in great shape, especially the greens. But slow play took much of the enjoyment away.
Great deal
The course was in really good shape and the pace of play was quick. The staff is very friendly and they have very reasonably priced cocktails. Play here pretty often as it is a great deal!
Fun Layout
First time playing this course and it was very enjoyable. The only thing I would have liked was if the sprinkler heads were tagged for yardage. The course has some elevation changes on some holes and some fairways slope from right to left so you play the hill on your drives. Overall conditions from tee box to green were good on most holes. I will plan on returning again soon.
User friendly
Great round of swift and friendly golf! Sent us off in twosomes and played in 2hrs15min! Great bartender (bloody Mary) and pulled pork baked potato!

The course was very well maintained. Nice greens and not the easiest! Fun and open 2 back to back par 5's
A very nice course for the money
This was my first visit to the Mou t Dora Golf Club. The pro shop staff were very friendly and attentive.
The course overall was a fun layout. No homes around and the overall conditions were what you would expect for a course in this price range. I agree with other that the greens were very slow. Other than that, it was a pleasurable experience and definitely a course that I would put into the rotation.
