About
WildHawk Golf Club is a challenging championship layout that is one of Sacramento's most popular public courses. The verdant landscape is dotted with scenic water features, including a cascading waterfall. Water is naturally a prominent presence but the unique shape and positioning of the bunkers also makes the course stand out from other public tracks. The golf course boasts some of the area's best greens as well. The layout has a diverse mix of challenging holes and player friendly elements such as the wide-open fairways on the longer par 4s and par 5s, which makes the golf course accommodating for a range of skill levels. It still requires a fair amount of accuracy though since it can get tight in some spots. WildHawk Golf Club can also be more difficult depending on the wind

Excellant condition !!
Course is beautiful fairways are great specially greens are the best among other public courses.
Lasted only 9 holes, cause it took over 3 hrs to play it and no marshalls in siight.
Whoever decided to overbooked course needs to get fired. I saw 3 or 4 fivesome on course. Took an hour to play 3 holes, quit after 9 holes. I do like the layout and course conditions were well maintain. Im only going back since we got a full raincheck.
1st time at this course
We had a great day at Wild Hawk. The course is beautiful and very well kept. We played 18 holes in 4 hours. My twosome was paired with a single and he was so nice and we had a great time with him. He had driven from Reno to play here today.
Today experience.
So today I decided to demo the M5 driver on my round today. The gentleman working the pro shop suggested the loft and stiffness of the club after I discussed what happens when I hit my driver. So he set me up , and best driving round I ever played. Missed 1 fairway and that was inky by 12”. So needless to say, very happy with the customer service at Wild hawk.
A great walking course
This a fun place to spend the day . I recomand walking it it's a good walk and will give you a good look at all the fun holes. Friendly staff 16 was my favorite hole not hard but fun to play.
A fun course
Despite the somewhat sloppy course conditions due to all of the rain and the ground being saturated, the course was in pretty good shape, especially the greens, which ran well and were well mowed. I like this course layout. It's a fun course to play, especially at such a low price.
Nice but sloppy
The course is nice, but it is also very sloppy wet.
Soggy
Fairways were very soggy as well as around d the greens. Once the course dries out, it will be in great shape.
Great track, but needs some attention
We had some rain a few days prior to the round, cart path only. The course doesn't drain very well and many of the fairways were extremely soggy. It's a really fun track to play but needs some TLC, big time. Tee boxes are a mess and large puddles in nearly every bunker, greens were in good shape though. Looking forward to drier course conditions. Too pricey for what u get right now, and that's with a hot deal

This is a good course but it doesn’t handle the rain very well.
Soggy course
The course was unplayable on Mar 11 due to very soggy conditions everywhere. Balls plugged completely and fairways were like swamps. Wait until it dries out before you play it.
Excellent layout
The course is laid out really well. A few dog legs and reachable par 4’s. There’s been a lot of rain in the area so the course required cart path only, and you could lose a ball in the fairway if your ball plugs. Overall a great day of golf and nice course to play.
Great to be Back
It's been a few years since I last played Wildhawk. I always enjoyed this course. The course is a very playable course from the "Blues" if you are a mid-handicapper golfer. There have been a few minor changes since I last played. Several years ago while playing in a club championship with a traveling league (we played 12 courses a year) I was fortunate to "ACE" #12 from 181 yards (Blues), but I see currently it only plays to 175 yards. With the recent rains the course was still a wet, but one should expect that in late January. I had a terrific time. It has a decent driving range where you might want to peek over to the right to take a look at the 18th green... Lastly, the staff was very friendly and professional. I now live in Roseville, but it is worth the drive to play once in a while, for me probably at least once a month as I play weekly... This will remain on my list for a long time!!! (I'm 70)
Good layout, super slow
The course was is fairly good shape considering all the recent rain, but pace of play was horrible. Quit after 9 holes as it took 3 hours just to play nine.
Thanks for playing WildHawk, unfortunately the course was still wet from the recent storms and rounds were taking longer than usual due to carts staying on cart paths. Sorry about that. 18 holes rounds were taking 4:45 or 4:50 that day. Come back and play us on a drier day when carts are off the paths and you'll have a much better pace of play.
