About
WildHawk Golf Club is a challenging championship layout that is one of Sacramento's most popular public courses. The verdant landscape is dotted with scenic water features, including a cascading waterfall. Water is naturally a prominent presence but the unique shape and positioning of the bunkers also makes the course stand out from other public tracks. The golf course boasts some of the area's best greens as well. The layout has a diverse mix of challenging holes and player friendly elements such as the wide-open fairways on the longer par 4s and par 5s, which makes the golf course accommodating for a range of skill levels. It still requires a fair amount of accuracy though since it can get tight in some spots. WildHawk Golf Club can also be more difficult depending on the wind

NIce Course - good value
Wildhawk is a regular play for me and my friends. The layout is a reasonable test of golf. Tends a bit on the easy side but a great place to work on your game. The pro shop, course marshals, teaching folks and bar/grill staff are very friendly and accommodating. This is a great course for having a fun and enjoyable day without a lot of pretense and stress. Highly recommended
Poor Bunkers
Some bunkers had standing water,
Little to no sand on top of the clay. Some bunkers were marked GUR, they had 2-3 inches of water...

The course was really great except they had just sanded the greens and they were way faster then I was use too.

Good layout walkable but some ups and downs, doglegs.

Played with one of the starters (off duty) TH and his wife Mimi, they were very nice and made my round so enjoyable as TH helped me with course pointers just as if he were working. Great experience thanks to the staff, TH and his wife. CUDOS!
Nice course close by
Wildhawk is nice layout for a mostly relaxing round unless you put it in the drink. I enjoy playing it and the staff is always nice.
Tee box
WildHawk is always a fun place to play golf. A good day, good company, fairways and rough that are taken care of, greens that, although recently punched and dressed ran true, what else could a golfer want? If only staff would realize that flat, level tee boxes set the tone...DREAMER, but it is a problem that if corrected would make this course a real delight.
Fun track, interesting holes
Wildhawk has a fun variety of holes, with 3 or 4 of them quite memorable. Not a lot of housing on course, and not very close to course, so aesthetically pleasant and in rural Sacramento. Course conditions: drains poorly in winter rains; fairways are good while off-fairway areas not particularly well tended. Greens are in good condition, but rarely rolled and pretty slow.
Good course, slow greens
A fun and challenging course but the greens run slow and the hole cuts are rough. Still very nice.
Awesome
Played in their 20 yrs anniversary tournament. Awesome event. Free range balls,Lunch,Goodie Bag and Dinner Banquet for $35. The course was in Great shape. This course is a wide open course with quite a few fun holes. A must play when your in the area.
Plush Fairways
Played on a Sunday in a threesome and finished in 3.5 hours! Course was in fabulous shape. Always look forward to playing this track. Greens were a little firm but fair. The place to visit to play your career round!
