About
WildHawk Golf Club is a challenging championship layout that is one of Sacramento's most popular public courses. The verdant landscape is dotted with scenic water features, including a cascading waterfall. Water is naturally a prominent presence but the unique shape and positioning of the bunkers also makes the course stand out from other public tracks. The golf course boasts some of the area's best greens as well. The layout has a diverse mix of challenging holes and player friendly elements such as the wide-open fairways on the longer par 4s and par 5s, which makes the golf course accommodating for a range of skill levels. It still requires a fair amount of accuracy though since it can get tight in some spots. WildHawk Golf Club can also be more difficult depending on the wind

quality course
The course was in pretty good shape considering all the rain we had. The only downer was cart path only.
Another Great Round!
This was our second round at Wildhawk and found the conditions to be very good, in spite of fairly heavy rainfall the previous day. The greens and dreaded sand traps were in above average condition.
Though it is an hour's drive, we will be back soon:)
Great golf weather course and pace of play nearly perfect
Only negative was green were a bit fast and players not fixing divots on the greens. Play this course the first chance you get .
Nice Course - Slow Play
Very nice course. Played a few times. They have added clocks on many of the holes to inform people of their pace of play. However, the last couple of times we have noticed that the people ahead of us simply ignore the clocks. We are intermediate hackers that make an effort to meet or exceed the pace. Clearly others don't. The sand in the bunkers seemed better than usual (Hey, I was in them a lot ...).
I'd easily give more stars if the pace of play was improved. Your mileage/time will vary ...

The course was NOT well kept and found many issues with the fairways. For the price I found them to be over charging for that track.
Very Nice Course
Course conditions very good, Tees, Fairways and Greens in great shape. Chipping areas good. never really had a bad lie any where. Course layout very forgiving, didn't real play too good, sprayed a few drives but didn't loose a ball. Putting was fun, greens large and rolled moderate to fast, smooth, good speed for holing putts if you get them online. Deifnate recommend.
tough but forgiving
This course was a great play it dried fast after the rain. The play wsd challenging but very forgiving on missed shots. I will play again.
Good course for low to high handicapped
Course in great shape considering the drought. In fact, a few spots were too wet. Pace of play was a bit slow but the day was so beautiful it didn't really matter. The course is varied enough to challenge the low handicapper yet still give the high shooter hope.
Fun course to play
This course is challenging but not overly demanding. The staff was good and course was in good shape. It did play slow the day we played, but that was because the group in front of was slow. We played from the blue tee boxes but would like to go back and try the gold for more of a challenge.

Pace of play detracts from a nice course
I've played here twice midweek and both times the pace for 18 was 5 hours. The course is interesting and well maintained, but similar courses in the Sacramento area run around 4:15.
Had fun
Great conditions on a 100 degree day. Enjoyed the round. Wish the greenskeeper would not have hosed down the green on the back nine right before I played them. Fast on front, much slower following the water boy. Guess that's just the luck of the draw.

Wildhawk on a Monday
The course was very good and interesting. Was nice being paired up with some regulars to get the insight of where to hit it. Greens were surprisingly fast as wet as they were. They rolled very true and smooth. Really enjoyed the round due to the company of John, John and Kevin, thanks guys!
Wildhawk is always a Good day
I played Wildhawk many times and always enjoy it. I play the Blue tees and find it all the challenge I need. The course was in good shape but we did have to start on #10...no issues though. Greens are good, as are the fairways. They are doing some extensive repair of the bunkers and some are marked as Do Not Enter. Probably more of them should be marked as well. Outside of that the day was very pleasant and the golf just flat out fun.

We played the front in 1.6 hours and the back in two hours as we got held up.
they course had good distance with a few shorter holes.

Great day on the course
Overall it was a great day on the golf course. Upkeep of the greens and fairways was excellent considering the drought.
This course is in great shape
The grass is green.....everywhere. The putting greens are in excellent shape and the course in general is excellent
