About
WildHawk Golf Club is a challenging championship layout that is one of Sacramento's most popular public courses. The verdant landscape is dotted with scenic water features, including a cascading waterfall. Water is naturally a prominent presence but the unique shape and positioning of the bunkers also makes the course stand out from other public tracks. The golf course boasts some of the area's best greens as well. The layout has a diverse mix of challenging holes and player friendly elements such as the wide-open fairways on the longer par 4s and par 5s, which makes the golf course accommodating for a range of skill levels. It still requires a fair amount of accuracy though since it can get tight in some spots. WildHawk Golf Club can also be more difficult depending on the wind

It was ok it could have been a little greener but I do know California hadn't got much rain this winter overall it was good.

This course seems to cater to men. We had a tee time and 3 men behind us came in without a tee time and the man at the desk let them go ahead of us. The gal at the first tee did not even have their name on her list. He called us up and then changed the order for us to go. We were two couples and we were not happy.
Played in the first rain of 2014
Playing Wildhawk was a real treat. Somehow they have kept the course green and in great shape. Really enjoyed it even when the rain came after about 11 holes.
How many years are the sand traps going to be in this condition????
The bunker have been poor for too long. There is no excuse!!
Wildhawk review
This course is a fair test for golfer. The fairways are open, and the greens are very good.

had been quite some time since I had played wildhawk.
just beginning to play a lot after years of illness. greens were in
super shape with decent speed. the traps were being worked on in some places, but those that were playable were in good shape with a deep cushion of sand. pace of play was excellent
as we were 1st out and virtually had the course to ourselves.

Course was in good shape . The greens were about wat they they rolled pretty true. Pace of play was a little slow but not real bad . It was a very nice course.
Pace of play is always slow.
Need work on some spot of the tee boxes and fairways.

Fun, well kept, slow.
Played this moderately easy course on a very windy day, which made it quite fun. Greens were in great condition. Quite a few muddy spots just off the fairway. Bunkers much improved over last year. Got stuck behind some VERY slow groups. Tee'd off at 12:20 and didn't hole out at 18 until almost 5:30 (after sunset). This was on a windy Monday no less. Overall, a very enjoyable course.
Fun Round in early fall
I got our tee time this day mixed up with the time for a round we had scheduled for the next day, so we showed up at the course more than an hour and a half early. We spent some time on the putting green and split a bucket of balls to warm up, and then the guys in the pro shop paired us up with another twosome and we went off about 45 minutes early. That was nice of them and we appreciated it.
I've played this course before and enjoyed it, so I was expecting another nice day on the course. The weather was fantastic for a day in late October. The course was a bit soggy in spots, but not anywhere that really affected play. You just had to be careful where you drove the cart in spots when looking for a wayward shot. The greens were in good shape and rolled true, but only average speed.
I like this course a lot and I will definitely be back, especially when I can get a great deal on GolfNow!
Great time
A little slow pace, marshal let a foursome hold up play why there was two of us that they would no let play through.
Nice course, but some attention needed
This is an interesting little track, not tough but with intriguing holes and a decent chance for shorter hitters. 18th is worthy closing hole. Worst problem here: Maintenance is minimal off the fairways and greens, and there are countless ruts and gouges, ripped up areas near tee blocks, inside path carts, along fairways edges. It is clear the marshals and management are doing little to nothing to keep thoughtless players from digging up their course. It is very aggravating to see and a shame. Could easily lose this nice course to lack of attention to rough spots, and lack of enforcement to cart rules.
The greens were in pristine condition!
Can't wait to return to Wild Hawk! We were very pleased the course was in such excellent condition!

Excellent course and golfing experience
The course is great, open, well kept and easy to play.
It will become one of my favorite courses in this area.
