Wildhawk Golf Club
About
WildHawk Golf Club is a challenging championship layout that is one of Sacramento's most popular public courses. The verdant landscape is dotted with scenic water features, including a cascading waterfall. Water is naturally a prominent presence but the unique shape and positioning of the bunkers also makes the course stand out from other public tracks. The golf course boasts some of the area's best greens as well. The layout has a diverse mix of challenging holes and player friendly elements such as the wide-open fairways on the longer par 4s and par 5s, which makes the golf course accommodating for a range of skill levels. It still requires a fair amount of accuracy though since it can get tight in some spots. WildHawk Golf Club can also be more difficult depending on the wind

Golfer Reviews
great shape
we arrived early hit some balls on the range and staff let us go off early they were super friendly and greens were in great shape
fun
played on wednesday afternoon. could not finish because play was too slow. too bad. first time to play course and would like to have played all the holes.
Tell people when you are airiating the greens???
I enjoy Wildhawk regularly. On this occasion, upon reaching the greens I found they had recently been airiated and were next to unplayable. In my opinion, any course that charges regular rates without informing the golfers that the greens are in the airiating process is "ripping off" the golfer!
Everything else is the same old Wildhawk, nice course.
Little pricey and it sure will take you 5 hours to complete on a busy day.
The course is in good shape and is flat enough to walk. The price is a little high if you don't use GolfNow.
Great course, difficult enough for me and forgiving
Played this course many times and it is always enjoyable and has just enough of a challenge.
Fun course to play
Great golf course, one of my very favorites in the area.
Great Staff
Course in Great Condition
course is in good condition
tee boxes were roped in half as they were over seeding, but all boxes were available on all18 with no temporary. Fairways are good with good roll. greens were a tad slow, but a great condition considering they had been punched a little over a week ago. The entire staff was frienly, including the marshall who was very active in trying to make sure everyone was happy and keep things at a good pace. we had a 4hr round. The only real drawback were the bunkers which were raked dirt. Hopfully they will put some real sand in them
Excellent value and plenty of trouble
Wildhawk is one of my favorite courses in the Sacramento area. While the course is fairly open, it penalizes a poor tee shot. Keeping the ball in position off the tee is rewarded with a mid to short iron to the green. Most greens are defended with mounding that turns an inaccurate approach into a difficult chip. The greens are not fast but contain subtle breaks that tend to be over-read.
I never get tired of playing this course.
I think this course is over-priced for the area and facilities.
The staff and patrons are very friendly. The course plays well for ladies. No golf course should have an outhouse as the permanent course restroom, especially when the green fees are over $50. This unacceptable. An outhouse does not belong at Wildhawk.
Much better than expected.
Played this on labor day weekend and expected a 5-6 hour round, having played there other weekends. It was wide open.
The course was in excellent condition, tee to green, another surprise for this time of year. Greens are protected, it has a few challenging holes, you can get in trouble quickly if you don't stay on track.
