Executive at Seven Springs Country Club

About
Seven Springs Country Club in New Port Richey offers two golf courses, the Challenger and the Championship. The club conveniently sits just minutes from the scenic Gulf of Mexico beaches and attractions of Tampa Bay. The Challenger Course is an executive-length layout that offers the same challenges as the more demanding Championship Course but on a smaller scale. There are not as many water features on the Challenger but there is a large lake and a meandering creek that comes into play on several holes. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. The layout offers a gentler version of the Championship that is more manageable for beginners but it is also a great quick round for more experienced players. It is even gentle enough for juniors to get in some short game practice.

Brutal Course + Conditions
Rough course conditions — clear that this course takes a back seat to the other course on property for upkeep & condition. Layout is tight pretty much 90% of the course. Have played at courses with similar conditions and should be priced to match, tough to pay probably $10-15 above it’s true value. Not coming back
Declining again.
The tee boxes were a little tore up and the greens had weeds on them.
Greens?
I wouldn't not suggest playing here. Fairways are typical for this area of Florida mostly dirt and sand little bit of grass, but the greens are horrendous. I'm told it's because of the hurricane and they didn't have any irrigation for a long time. I'm also told that they're going to close and rebuild the greens this summer . That really needs to happen. Even at 30 some dollars it was not any good.
You still have to make the shots
Conditions aren’t the greatest but you can find good lyes around your ball fluff it a little than try to execute your shot
Good place to work on course management and iron accuracy
Enjoyable round
The 4 of us felt neither pushed or having to wait long at all. It was a perfect day ... perfect 80 degree temp, dry course, and an all-around fun day.
An affordable course
This affordable course still has lots of challenges for the golfer. Work has been done on the greens, much appreciated. Some days are busier than others ( tournaments) but staff are obliging, allowing start times on the back 9.
Seen Better Days
Used to play here two or three times a year, a couple years back. Played beginning of January 2025 and the course is really struggling. Happily paid the price point I paid assuming it would be in much better shape from my previous times here. Needless to say I was very disappointed and won’t be back for quite some time.
Tee boxes were hit or miss (some actually non existent and just placed in the fairway), fairways unkept, and there wasn’t a single green that didn’t have a large dirt/sand pit in it.
I’d still like to go back to try the Championship course again across the street, but would t consider playing the “Little Course” again.
7 Springs Short Course is a Good Value
The extraneous yellow flags for other on course game is confusing but otherwise good value
Needs more time to recover from the hurricane.
The hurricane has take a toll on many golf courses. This one needs help, greens are in rough shape and the fairways need watering.
Great deal
Definitely worth the price, has a nice size range. Staff was very friendly
Possibly the worst I ever played and would not go back
Don't waste your money
We booked a a midday shift on a Sunday the course was crazy! There was way too many people, after each hole we would have to wait a minimum of 10 minutes. Next to the executive course, they have soccer golf where players would constantly send their soccer balls onto your course. Since there were two courses, it was also extremely confusing trying to find the next course. Maybe if you play on the normal course it isn't as bad, but the executive course was garbage!
