Executive at Seven Springs Country Club

About
Seven Springs Country Club in New Port Richey offers two golf courses, the Challenger and the Championship. The club conveniently sits just minutes from the scenic Gulf of Mexico beaches and attractions of Tampa Bay. The Challenger Course is an executive-length layout that offers the same challenges as the more demanding Championship Course but on a smaller scale. There are not as many water features on the Challenger but there is a large lake and a meandering creek that comes into play on several holes. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. The layout offers a gentler version of the Championship that is more manageable for beginners but it is also a great quick round for more experienced players. It is even gentle enough for juniors to get in some short game practice.

Okay for the price
Was wary about trying this course with the reviews I saw about the greens. Turned out to be a decent small course.
Greens - appeared in decent condition, but slow.
Off the fairways was a bit overgrown in spots, making rough shots hard
Overall if you’re looking for a quick cheap round I’d recommend.
Course was in horrible shape a lot of water and mud it was like playing in a swamp
We’ve had much needed rain consistently here in Florida. The course was wet because of that. Other than that, it was in farlirly good condition.

Thank you for playing. It's been drying up nicely. Unfortunately much of that course is in a low area and definitely gets wet. It's getting into great shape right now and we hope to see you again soon!!!
Tried because of hot deal
This course is usually more expensive, but hot deal got it down to 33 dollars. So why not. Took mcmuelln booth to get up there, this is a bit out of the way. The entire golf course was surrounded by houses. At the first hole, you can see range balls being hit to the fairway. The part that sucked the most was the weeds growing on the green. It is impossible to have a predictable putt on the green, especially the front 9.
I went on a Friday morning and there was only one other group I saw the entire time.
i have golfed for over 50 years, and this was by far, the absolut(pavement actually), worst greens i have ever seen, what an embarrassment. we left after 6 holes
Not playable greens
The greens are the worst I have played in Florida.
Grass less greens
The worst maintained golf course I have ever played or been on in my life !!!!!!!
I played four holes, with absolutely terrible greens!!!
The Green's are worse then a gravel road !!!
You cannot put on them at all !!!
I called the clubhouse from the 4th hole and asked for a refund and they told me to come back in and they would refund my money!!!!
They lied to me and said we can only give you a voucher to come back and play again!!!
They would not refund money because I used teeoff.com !!!!
I will never in my lifetime ever go back to seven springs!!!!!!
Do not play there !!!!
Totally a waste of time and money !!!!!
Go anywhere else!!!!!
I wish I would have taken pictures!!!!!
STAY AWAY!!!!!
Greens are an embarrassment. Completely rotted out. Not 1 green is in shape. Not talking one little rough patch here and there, every one is chewed and diseased. I played here before and was in ok shape. It used to be fun place to play your irons for a quick round. How they haven't closed it down to repair greens is beyond belief. Golfnow shouldn't even offer this course in this condition. It's a disservice to your golfnow members.
Let Down
The course conditions were stated with a warning about the greens being "aerated: however that was not the case. In fact they were just neglected. Un-putt-able on all holes. Bumpy and hard. Not even fair for a golfer to even try to put to the hole unless less than a foot away. Don't waste your money on the Executive course, play the other course..
Not good
Not one green was playable very poor condition waste of time and money to play it.
Greens
Beautiful day and the course was in decent shape. The greens however were in horrible condition. Ball bounced around from all the dirt and dead grass on the green. Towards the end we didn’t even putt any longer because of the rough greens.
Terrible
The worst greens in Florida!!! Don’t waste your money to play the Executive Course!
Greens are terrible
I took my grandson out for a round. I thought an executive layout would be perfect for a newbe. Unfortunately, the greens were the worst I have ever played on. Even freshly aerated greens are better than this. I am not a turf specialist, but it would seem to me that the greens should be killed and restarted from scratch. This could be a fun short course but …
Thanks for coming out to play. Course is getting better every day. We had a rough winter last year but course has done a 180. We hope to see you again soon. Definitely a great bang for your buck in our opinion!!!
