TPC Harding Park - Harding Course

I feel like this is what most TPCs have become now. Mediocre boring and overpriced with just ok conditions. Front 9 were more like a muni with better conditions and back 9 were fun but not worth the price nor the pace of play.

Had a blast.

It was a beautiful sunny day playing twilight with two others single. It started nicely with the pace until seven holes and one of the single have no patience and decided to leave. By the time to start the back nine the other single decided to quit. So I became single player and caught up to the group ahead and they only have three players. However they are also waiting for the group infront to finish every holes. I didn’t see any marshals on the course until 14th holes and don’t know why the marshals didn’t monitor the group paces. On the 15th holes the group infront decided to let our group play ahead and we were on the way to finish the 18th holes before the sunset. The course was just an average shape I expected to be better conditions since it was managed by TPC.

Harding is definitely number one on the Public golf course list in San Francisco very well maintained.

The course was very nice well maintained and in great condition. Every hole is fairly wide with a few exceptions of a few trees in the fairway that could affect your second shot if not placed well. You have to work hard to lose a ball. The trees are majestic. The setting is spectacular yet it seems it is missing the challenging holes (other than the 18th) where you hit over water. You are never even close to the edge of water. The only real challenge is staying out of the numerous beautifully maintained sand traps. It was fantastic playing there knowing how many famous players had played there. Still I have found several courses about the third the expense which are more interesting and more challenging than Harding Park. Even so, I will likely play there again.

Overall good course. Should be intermediate or better to enjoy. Good pace of play. Course well maintained. It was worth the $.

For what the green fees are, I expected this course to be well-to-flawlessly maintained. There were divots all over the greens and the greens were slow. Fairway grass is 4/5. Course layout is great. Carts are cartpath only.

Greens here were a bummer. Expected much better honestly. Fairways could be better but they’re still good and better than most public courses in the bay area.

Usually there are friendly faces all over the place here but this day there was a jerk in the clubhouse at the register. Very snarky and condescending. Also the tee boxes look like they were maintained with a chainsaw. For the amount of money we pay to play here I expect the tee boxes to be maintained a little better

When you're up to it, this is. The challenge the golf course presents with uneven lays and slopes make up for its short length. The greens were in great shape. Pace of play was very good. Timing of hitting the golf ball is a key to playing safe, as unsuspecting public roam the fairways.

$240 green fee, range balls not included, cart not included…so it ended up being $300 just to play….after we got our carts they told us it was cart path only….then the Marshall found us two different times and told us to speed up because we were 10 minutes behind pace….when we returned the carts there was no club service and when we checked in there was no bag service….the amenities are all super dated….clean but clearly over 20 years old. This place is highly overrated and outrageously priced for the level of service and amenities offered. They are able to do this by being one of only four courses in the SF area.

A very satisfying game of golf. Nice sunny day, some breeze from the west, good company, and the golf course was in great shape. I beat my handicap score by 6 shots.. That made my day.
