Great Experience
The course is even nicer than I remember it from the first time I played it one or two years ago. It is spread out through the community, therefore there are no distractions from the sites or sounds of golfers on other holes. Glad to read that more signage is being added to guide players between the holes that are further apart. The course was in great condition, even with the greens being aerated a few weeks ago. It is a very fair layout, yet still has challenges. There are very nice amenities, including complimentary range balls. The staff were all extremely friendly. I highly recommend a visit to the lounge after your round for a refreshing beverage and complimentary popcorn and trail mix. We had a very fun experience both on and off the course. We will definitely be back!
Every inch playable
Well maintained, course super deserves a gold star. Obviously no budget cuts here. Can be Challenging but fun, because of playing surface. Of course the weather was great. Will return soon.

Good Test
Overall conditions were fantastic and the golf course provided a good test for all of us from #3 and #5 tees we'll be back for sure!!!

Played the #2 Tees. Shot 84 at 74 years old. Will probably play #3 Tees next time and shoot 65. LOL

Not geared to outside play?
No GPS, no course map on card, no food/bev cart, poor directions to starting on #10 tee. All in all, not a lot of help for outside players and I would expect more for courses in the price range. $99/$75, am/pm.
Course design, condition ok. Average ratings are for comparisons to other courses we have played in this area. Other courses have the amenities listed above and are comparable in design and conditions.

I'm sorry that your day with us did not meet your expectations.
Please know that most of the constructive criticism you mentioned is being remedied.
While we do not intend on outfitting our carts with GPS systems, we are doing 2 things to help.
The first is acquiring the new Yamaha golf carts (in June) that provide FREE GPS yardages and layouts that you can use after downloading the app on your smart phone and we will also have USB ports in the cart to maintain the charge on your phone.
Second, we will be getting yardage books with a hole by hole layout, maps to holes with large travel times and information you need to navigate our extensive property.
We are also working on updating our course signage this summer to help all players find their way comfortably around the Herons Glen property.
As far as a beverage cart goes. We are currently working on an alternative for guest play to help with this issue.

great course
Course in great shape. Greens lightning fast but very true. Almost no ball marks on the greens. Very few bare spots on the fairways. Long cart ride between some of the holes. Weather forecast had been predicting chance of thunderstorm during our round and clouds starting to build on the 15 hole and we heard the course horn go on the 16 hole and about 60 seconds later thunder heard off in the distance, we headed for shelter and rain started. Lasted about 30 minutes and we were able to go back to 16 and finish the round. Great day!!!!! Too bad the score didn't reflect the good time we had.

Great Course in Southwest Florida
Played with a member. Course was challenging. 14 handicap. Played from Tee Two. Beautiful flowers and landscaping. Course was in great condition and greens were very true and in great shape. Member felt the superintendent was phenomenal and the course definitely reflected it. Feel in love with course and amenities that will probably end up buying a house there to enjoy my upcoming retirement. Based on researching other golf communities in Southwest Florida and input from the member who has lived there for over 4 years and raved about people who live there I really feel this is hidden treasure and overall great value.

Subdivision golf, but good solid course

Course was in great shape the shotgun start was very well organized and moved better than most courses Ive played here. Greens were fast and true. I am a 12 handicap and play alot of golf highly recomend course

Good course for all & Nice tour for the day
Gracious fairways off the tee. Good conditioning of tees, fairways, greens and traps. Top dressed greens like all other courses this time of year so a little on the slow side but still very playable and rolling true. Take a GPS with you though. There are enormous distances between greens and tees that wind through residential streets. Directions are poorly marked in a number of occasions and we got lost three times. At one point we drove so much we thought we were in another state. Especially if you end up starting on 10 like us. It was hard to believe how far we had to drive and you end up doubting that you are going in the right direction and end up turning back only to be sent right back out. Even though we ended up taking these side tours the pace of play was still better than standardized 4:15 and it was an enjoyable day for all in our group.
