Upscale manicured course with fast greens. A great value.
Beautiful course
Very friendly staff plus cordial members! Fun to play. Difficult but a joy to play. Playing again tomorrow.
Played in an afternoon shotgun start. Enjoyed the course emensely. You must pay attention to signage between holes as there are some long drives. Lots of tee boxes for every golf level. Lots of gators and other wildlife. Would strongly recommend this course to anyone.

Beautiful course
Not only is the course in pristine condition - the entire property is very well manicured. Scenery is gorgeous.
The distance between some of the holes may bother some but it makes for a very nice ride. The property is immense. Golfers coming down from the north will find the greens extremely fast - but, they are true.

Long cart rides
Very nice course both layout and condition with very fast greens. Only negative comment some very long cart rides between holes.

GREAT COURSE
Enjoyed playing course. Great layout , with a challenge for every level player. Played with a couple of very nice Ladies from the Club. They were very helpful , sharing their knowledge of course. Need to play course, if in area.
I played this course in January 2017 and selected it based on a Golf Advisor article from 2015 rating it as the top course in the Ft Myers/Naples area for overall ranking, conditions, and value. This probably built up my expectation more than it should have. The course was in nice condition, although the greens had recently been top-dressed. The greens still putted pretty well, though.
The negatives:
1. There was no attendant at the bag drop to help with the clubs.
2. No one to put the bags on the cart.
3. The carts were older and without GPS.
4. At a course of this caliber, we would have expected there to be rakes in the bunkers, not one on your cart that you had to remember to take with you to the bunker.
5. Fortunately we played with a member, otherwise the layout and course routing were not obvious. There are some long distances from greens to the next tee, including an extremely long drive from the 9th green to the 10th tee. The course would be nearly impossible to walk because of these distances.
6. There is no course map on the score card.
7. A water cooler on the course and a water and ice machine near an oncourse restroom had no cups.
Overall, it was a disappointing experience for a course which was so highly rated.

Some of the things you listed are unavoidable for us but others can be remedied and we have been looking at those items lately.
It's unfortunate your day wasn't as enjoyable as you were expecting and we do hope to see you again.
Love this course
I really enjoy the layout and condition. This course is very hard to get on if you are a non resident. Price gets quite high during the season but if you can get a deal it is one you want to play.

This course has tremendous challenging holes.
This is a must track for the serious golfer. Challenging because of water and obs, somewhat narrow but not excessively long. Very well maintained and pleasant to play. Definitely recommend it!

Herons Glen
Played it from the forward tees (#3) while playing with 3 senior members. Will be interested to see how it plays from further back.
Pretty narrow/challenging from the tee box for 1/3-1/2 of the holes. Greens very consistent - fast for as soft as they were. Traps were a bit inconsistent.

Herons Glen is a jewel

Great Course
This course is by far one of the finest in SW Florida especially in the price range. The course has several sets of tees and can play fair for any handicap. The layout and scenery are awesome. I would highly recommend this course to any avid golfer!

This course is user friendly
Anyone from experienced golfers to beginners will enjoy this course. I like the forward tees. Perfect for senior ladies to play.
Unable to complete round due to weather
Only able to play 14 holes before major rain storm. Front 9 quite tight and wet conditions did not help. Back 9 looked more interesting. Greens quite challenging. Prepared to give it another go at the price.

course was good i wasn't
The course was in great shape, even after they aerated the greens. Fairways were also very nice. Pace was kind of slow but still finished in a little over 4 hours.

Played here half dz times before and always in good shape.a lot of rain everyday this time of year so that has a lil impact on conditions. Fairways very plush Greens roll pretty smooth & true but lil on slower side for my taste some wet spots throughout in fairways but easy to play around..bunkers have some new sand so quite fluffy... Stay out lol... My dad & I play around noon this time year heat not an issue for us .. so almost always have course mostly to ourselves.. So pace never an issue.. Staff always great.. Finished at 5 so most amenities closed ... Again summer in Florida... Definitely recommended
