Herons Glen Golf & Country Club

This is a very well manicured course. Very friendly and helpful staff. I really enjoyed the course layout. Played a little slow that day, and we teed off 15 minutes late , but they were accommodating quite a few golfers. Playing as a threesome we expected to wait a bit. Don't recall exact time but I believe it was around 4 hrs. 20 minutes.

I was on a GN Hot Deal which made this course a bargain for the money. Not sure what their normal rates are.. I had been checking GN for a week or so to play Heron's Glen but there were never any times. Luckily I got this one the night before. The course is definitely on my list to play again. Great club house by the way.

Golf holes all different and challenging. Course itself in very good condition. Only downside is distance between holes so adds a little time to a round

It is a layout which is challenging but not too extreme. Perfect experience for holidays.

First time playing this course. I like the layout. The fairways and the greens were in very good condition. My dislike, slowness of play, took 5 hours to complete :(

First time here and it was a pleasant surprise. Good mix of holes and 4 excellent par 3's. Play the No. 1 or 2 tees to appreciate what the course offers! Well worth a try!

Beautiful, well-maintained course. There is a lot of water, so bring some extra balls if you spray your tee shots. Not a long course, so if you hit the ball a fair distance I would recommend playing the back tees.

Lucky to play with a member otherwise would have probably got loss between holes. Course was in pretty good condition. Good value for the money.

Typical resort type course, was in excellent playing conditions. Starter very friendly and helpful. Good pace of play. Always worthwile to come back to play it again.

First time at Heron's Glen. We were a threesome lucky enough to be paired with a member as our fourth. Enjoyed the round as the member was able to provide details of each hole we would not have known otherwise. Greens were fast, course overall was in great shape. Many water holes, either along side of the fairways or over water to greens. Three "island-type" greens which made some shots challenging. Pace of play was OK, had to wait on a few holes but not too bad.

Great course visually, but difficult to follow for first timers. Distance between holes awkwardly located and signage not the best.

We received an exceptionally good price for a course of this calibre. The day we played we were grouped with another couple in a shot gun format, so everyone moved along at a 4 hour rate.
Practice facilities, food in the clubhouse and service were great.
Located in North Fort Myers, but easy to get to on I-75 and Rte 41.

Course was great shape thick rough but greens ran fast and true

This was the second time I played Heron Glenn. Both times they had a scramble and threw us in with it. They also paired us up both times. That in itself is not so horrible. But what does bother me is the rude staff with the "you don't live at Heron Glenn so I couldn't care less about you" attitude.
With so many really nice courses in the area I will never play there again. They can have it.

Nothing to add, one of the best golf places in SW Florida

Loved the course, but my husband and I had never played it before (and we played alone). The score card does not give you the layout of each hole. Neither does the hole marker, so there were several holes where we actually had no idea what was ahead. I prefer to have a picture of the hole so I know where the water is, where the hazards are, and where the course is narrow. We shot blind on many many shots. Next time will be better, but first time was a guess on most holes.
