Greynolds Golf Course

On the first tee box, there were two groups waiting ahead of us. It was going to be a slow day, which I thought was perfect for my daughter playing her first round ever! Standing on the tee box, the guy in the pro shop runs out and gives us grief, telling US not to slow people down. (I've played all my life, so I know what I'm doing). Already, my daughter is feeling uneasy. Slowly making our way through the second hole, my daughter loving the day. We get between #2 and #3, there are 2 groups on the tee box again. My daughter with her grandfather (my father-in-law) are in the cart behind. My 7 year old daughter sitting behind wheel. DID NOT MOVE the cart once, just sitting, waiting for the groups. A staff lady comes up full speed screaming at them that she cannot drive the golf cart, ranting/scolding them for a solid minute. We acknowledged right away, she wouldn't be driving, she kept ranting. Again, NEVER drove! Needless to say, my daughter was dejected. Was sad from then on, that she got yelled at by a strange lady. Couple holes later, the pro shop guy drives up and gives us more grief too! "I heard your behavior has been unacceptable. That's why you shouldn't have kids on a golf course! If they don't have school, don't bring them here!". It was awful. My daughter looked at me and said, " Daddy, I guess kids just don't belong here." She a

then asked to go home. We didn't even finished. We weren't kicked off or anything but she was so upset by the whole ordeal. Her first experience on the course, after several driving range sessions and the First Tee Program, we felt she was ready. And she was doing wonderful! Another group even clapped after she hit a great shot. Awful staff who shouldn't be dealing with people ruined what could have been a perfect day. Never going back.

Staff was very rude and un friendly. Do not recommend for visitors. This is not how we treat outsiders.

Course matched what I thought it was gonna be. For an inexpensive course it was ok. Tees where a little rough but greens were better.

Got a "Hot Deal" on golf now. This is a city course that has a lot of local players (snow birds) playing it, due to a very cheap rate to play golf in the North Miami area. Course was in decent shape. It is NOT supposed to be the "Blue Monster" it is a place to play golf without major frills. Laid back approach, don't expect to play super fast but you are getting what you pay for in a place to play for a very low price in the area. I enjoyed the company being paired up with a few locals, good times and good people.

Greynolds had a nice layout in a great location, easy to get too. The greens and traps were well maintained. The fairways were a bit thin and at times a little winter rules placement was neccesary to facilitate a clean shot. This is a nice nine hole track if you are golfing with family or looking for a tuneup or quick round.

Love this place. It is amazingly kept for the budget this public course manages.

Inexpensive and always available for singles.

The course layout was nice and conditions were OK. There were a significant number of walkers on the course that slowed down the pace of play. We enjoyed the time with friends we haven’t seen in a while.

On entering Greynolds, I noticed picnic tables that looked like 25 years old. no place for golfers to sit comfortably while waiting for their Tee Time. The day was 85F and there was NO WATER! I had the maintenance man go to the back kitchen to look in the fridge, nothing. The water order was 1 case, the Gatorades were several cases and beer too. Everyone needs water on the golf course.How is it that Greynolds didn't have any on a Friday at noon?!!!!

I think this course needs a lot of TLC! Hope it gets it soon!

If you are going out to work on your game and get some exercise on a budget, then this course is fine. I saw lots of complaints in the reviews and thought my experience was not going to be good, however, I was pleasantly surprised to find the course was in reasonably good shape and playable. Sure there were some bad spots on the fairways and the greens were slower but my wife and I still enjoyed playing there and wouldn’t rule out playing there again.
