Monarch Bay Golf Club - Tony Lema Course

have not played here in 15 years. Decided to go because I had points built up and a 10.00 off monthly tee time credit. I paid $1.00 to play there YES $1.00!!! MUCH TO MY SUPRISE It was in great shape and the greens were rolling awesome !! Had a great time even though it was wet and drizzly, will be going back for sure

The course condition was great from fairway to greens. The tee box could use a little help unfortunately.

I don't understand WHY fairways of #5, 6, & 15 are restricted from golf carts . In the winter time, YES ... AND you green fees of $100 is outrageous! If they went up bcoz of.your new & improved RANGE, then raise the rates on using it, not the course, itself!

Course is in terrible condition. Tee boxes uneven, fairways brown spots and bunkers hard as a rock collecting water from sprinklers. Not worth the price.

First time at this course and it was a good day. It is quite windy but the first few hole play downwind so it does help. Do remember to club down since the balls really fly downwind. The course layout is very nice albeit wet for this time of year. Somewhat narrow rolling fairways but plenty of space to miss. The rough can be very diffiicult. The greens are in great condition and rolls very true with decent speeds. The price is what attracted me to the course, very good value for golf in the bay area. Recommend to anyone lookling for a good time for golf in the bay area.

This is a challenge course with long par 3s and also long par 5s.

The condition is much better than years ago. Also the price is very reasonable compared to similar courses like Baylands.

Excellent greens and fairways! Beautiful views of the bay and city in the distance. Mountains and hills in the background also made it look majestic. We were very impressed and will return for another round! Thanks San Leandro GC! 👍🏻😎🏌️

This Course Monarch Bay San Leandro is not worth $ 80 at all way over priced. I will not be back next time im in town play with friends pace was terrible i dont think they space out tee times range was garbage balls wore old and wore out course conditions should be alot better for 80 dollars to walk Not worth it Monarch Bay 2 stars

Every hole there’s 2 groups waiting, take us 6 hours to finish 18 holes. Not acceptable.

You guys have the best staff around .. From the golf starter, to the staff at the front counter, to the beautiful cart woman ... Only blemish of yesterday's round was the pace of play, at times we got backed up .. Other than that, I had an enjoyable round with my 4-some ..

Massive amounts of bird poop on the greens and in fairways. Droves of birds in fairways. Fun course layout with challenging approach shots. Excellent practice facilities.

played 8/22/24 This is a sweet layout and a sample of Scotland links golf. Very windy in the afternoon. The maintenance could be better but the greens were in very good shape and a majority of the bunkers were consistent (some contained wet sand which requires a different shot type). The view of SF on the 15th tee is worth a photograph.
