I've seen deers, rabbits and skunks on the fairway but not a fox....and this close! That's the fun part of playing golf, you don't know who will show up! Photo submitted by junbelara on 07/09/2013

Ryder Cup Format with our 2 groups Photo submitted by Matthew6624674 on 11/05/2012
Greens in great condition. Group spacing is irregular. We got moved up 2 slots ahead and had nobody up behind us. This wasn’t the first time. No course marshall present on course to monitor slow play but it was a beautiful day
Monarch Bay Birdie Festival
It was my first time playing this course and it was fun. The course is set on the bay and our group was second off the tee. We got to enjoy a beautiful sunrise, there wasn’t any wind in the morning, (some staff said it could be a little windy in the late afternoon.
The greens were in great condition. The course was links style with some fun unique designs and overall very “scoreable”.
If you haven’t played here, you should check it out. The two level range looked nice, I didn’t have time to try it.
Play the wind!
Good intimidating course with a few back 9, against the wind, holes that play with your mind. PoP changes with weather - mostly slow but not frustrating.
Hot deals are value for money. Maybe allow pets and you would see more golfers jump at weekday opportunity to play.
Great links style course
Great links style course. I had an early round and got out in 3.25 hours. Greens were perfect. They trimmed down some of the nasty overgrowth and i managed not to lose a ball. The wind wasn’t much of a factor early morning
Avoid unless you have ALL Day
Glacial pace of play with on-course dump trucks. 10:03 tee time, waited on every single shot (sometimes as long as 15 minutes), watched 2 groups play the par three Fourth. I quit and walked in from 17 tee after 4.5hrs and 2 groups on the 17th tee. Factor in dump trucks making a loop thru the course and 3-4 tees moved up so we don’t hit over the trucks en route. Pro shop courteously issued partial refunded which I was grateful for.
Some construction in progress
A few tee boxes are finally getting rebuilt. (They've always seemed to slope too much for a snap hook.) A lot of the high grass in front of the tees and between fairways has been cut down; now more of those dribbled tee shots are in play!
Greens were in good shape. Didn't see a marshal until the 12th hole. Never got a beverage cart drive-by. Never got to hit range balls; now I know about the range closure every other Tuesday morning.
From a 9mo. golfer's perspective
Nice variety of length of holes, GREAT scenic view on the back nine!!!
Not so bad
"FORE" seems to be an unknown courtesy by other players on this course.
