Hole #2 Green Side Bunker represents most traps on this course that need additional sand to allow potential for more enjoyable and better playability. Photo submitted by Sam687374 on 01/16/2025

Hole #6 Tee-Box represents most T-Boxes on this course that need repair/recovery to allow potential for more enjoyable and better start for each hole. This was not fresh dirt so this leads me to believe repair/recovery of the T-boxes has not been and is c Photo submitted by Sam687374 on 01/16/2025
Always a pleasure at Monarch Bay
I love this 9 hole course, as a relatively new player it truly challenges me and I'm starting to see my score drop as I practice more. I've played Monarch 3 or 4 times this year and usually see either a soccer type of player or a frisbee player on the course. This day it was the players ahead of us who seemed to be moving slower than usual. It's a casual community course so we waited and still had a great time. I'll be back in the hopes of beating my 35 stroke record.

5 some... really?
3 Plus hours for 9 holes? They allow 5 somes?
4 newbies and 1 "regular; golfer... no marshal and
no courtesy.... (play through) It`s a good beginners
9 hole course... but a 5 some? 3 + hrs?
Waste of Time
Ive never had to wait so long to tee off at every single hole. It took 5-6 hrs to play this course due to having to wait to tee off at every hole. Management needs to figure it out.
Great 9 hole game this afternoon
Hooked up with two other players, great attitudes with varying levels of experience. Not ver busy today so a couple of mulligans were taken. Fairways were in great shape, greens were even better. Will absolutely return especially through Golf Now’ s Hot Deals.

Nice course for beginners
9 hole course, greens good... fairways good... tee
boxes need fixing. Crowed for a Thursday... enjoyed the course... by the bay so it was a little windy.
Total mayhem on a weekend morning
Look, I accept the fact that a $25 nine hole round at Monarch Bay is not going to be like a day at Pebble Beach, but the owners should at least make some basic effort to manage the tee times. I paid for a 9:20 tee time on line, showed up, was told that the course was "first come first served" and then watched a bunch of people with no reservations just walk on. I played one hole, stood for 20 minutes at the second tee box and gave up. I note that there were people in front of me who had been told that there was no room on the course until later - they were in line with me at the clubhouse - but they just walked on anyway once they had paid. Total mayhem, and unplayable for people who actually had reservations and has paid. "First Come First Served" should not mean totally unmanaged chaos. Nice little short course but I won't be playing here on the weekend again.
What happened?
I used to play this course semi-regularly to get my golf fix, but at the moment, it’s been trashed.
It seems like they’ve had an invasion of baby geese, so every hole that’s near the drainage pond is wrecked. The tee boxes are un-usable on most holes and there’s goose poop on many of the greens. Also, the bunkers are rock hard.
I’m fine with a bit of dinginess on a course, but this was bad. I hope they can reduce the number of geese and replant some of the tee boxes soon, or at least give us mats to hit off of.
Good value
Nice course. Good mix of length. Good course to practice your irons and wedges.
9 holes on a sunny day
March 27th was a beautiful day, the course was busy but not overcrowded with players. I was playing by myself but was quickly adopted by a thresome and we all got along great. Lots of newish players so I fit right in. Course was in good shape, greens were slow just took a few putts to figure them out. Overall a great experience enjoying golf and making some new friends. Good walking 4-5 Club Course
This golf course is a good walking / back packing course with 4-5 clubs. My only complaint is too many ducks, poop is everywhere on the fairway, never seen so much poop on a course.
