About
Neighbor to the beautiful Ravine State Gardens, Palatka Golf Club offers a game that is as scenic as it is entertaining. Designed by Donald Ross in 1925, the golf course was created with all skill levels of golfers in mind. The layout is player friendly, but there are still many challenging elements to keep golfers on their toes, including Ross' signature "turtleback" greens. There are also numerous bunkers fiercely guarding the greens. The signature hole of the course is the par-3 third. This 188-yard hole is a test of accuracy, requiring a difficult tee shot to a well bunkered green. Palatka Golf Club also offers a unique aqua driving range for golfers to use.

Golfer Reviews
Better Than Black Friday Shopping
Absolute great golf day on this course. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The course conditions were excellent. Whenever we’re in the Jacksonville area we will look to play this course again
Waste of Time and Money
How do you politely call a garbage golf course - a garbage golf course?
The staff was very friendly, the golf cards worked well, and the weather was nice. That is the entirety of the nice things that I have to say about this place.
There was not one square foot of grass on the course that did not have weeds everywhere. And that was where you could find grass at all. Mounds of dirt, Piles of overgrown uncut weeds, and 18 flag sticks does not mean you have a golf course.
If you hate your friends, tell them to go play Palatka.
Never again. Not at any price.
Not even if it was free.
GIR? No GIR!
Tough to hit and hold greens. All around good day, hills, blind shots, all-carry par 3’s.
Beautiful old school course
Loved the layout. They don’t make em like this anymore but they should. Only concern is lack of any pandemic related measures. Not a big deal to me but others in my group were miffed.
Old school golf
Classic D.Ross course, tiny raised greens with a lot of slope, bring your A iron and chipping games. A few blind tee shots, rare for Florida. Acceptable conditions, greens a bit slow, but consistent. Excellent value.
This place is always a yes
It was wet, very wet, nor'easter wet, yet very playable. Love the layout, love the greens, love the terrain!
Course can handle the recent rains.
Most courses in the area are so wet, that they are practically unplayable. This course had no standing water anywhere. A few things like the rough and some tee boxes need improvement, but overall not bad for a course that is owned by the city and has a limited budget.
Great Bones, Could Use a Refresher
Great bones, as in this course is a great, shorter, classic layout of holes. The maintenance staff is doing as good a job as they can considering the (lack of) resources they probably have, and the age of the architecture. This course could definitely use a full refurbish job. The greens complexes and bunkers are really showing their age, and could be resurfaced and redone. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable course to play for a recreational Saturday morning round, and a reasonable value at $20 for 9 holes or $29 for 18 with cart included. Would return to see the back nine, as I only had time allocated for 9 holes.
I've played this course several times. It's not Augusta National, but it s a great course. It's the toughest 5800 yards u will play. Only due to the person who designed it ..If You want to enjoy a piece of history ,play this course. The person that wrote review is a total idiot and not much of a golfer.
