Must try again...100% improvement
WOW!
Never thought I would play the course again after playing last year. If you have ever played it in the past you need to play it again to see the improved course conditions. We only played the back 9 today, but we were so impressed we already booked 18 for tomorrow. The greens rolled almost as nice as the Hammock Ocean course that I live on.
The new Owners have done a great job, but I feel they are still missing out with their internet exposure. You can't find a website for them and every search, even Golf Now's site refers you to the Cypress Knoll golf course and that's one you never want to play if you have a choice.
as good as lpga, victoria hills,
peopler freindly course in good shape playing 9/9/2015 iam disabled vet looking for a discount.
Nice course in great condition
We really enjoyed this course. The greens are in great condition for this time of year. It's pretty obvious that they have an experienced greens keeper and maintenance staff.
Course Conditions
Course was in very nice shape contrary to what I had heard. The value for the money was excellent. We had lots of rain the night before but there were several maintenance men out fixing what was wrong. Looking forward to playing there again. The water stops had no water that was the only drawback, as it was a very hot day.
Getting better
Haven't played this course in over a year abd I can see improvements. Greens were very good and true, fairways in good condition and tee boxes good. The rough still needs some attention but it does force you to focus on staying on the fairways. The layout is challenging with dogleg and water features. Enjoyed the day and I hope Pine Lakes continues to improve.
Good Course Could Be Great
The course was in good condition considering the severe rains the last couple of days. The greens were in good shape but slow. The fairways were also in good shape but a little long due to the weather. The worst part of the course was the condition of he bunkers. Little to no sand and all were in desperate need of attention. A fun course to play and will continue to frequent.
Pine Lakes Golf Course
New management is trying to bring back this course. Some rough edges, but tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in great shape. The group in front of slowed us down a bit, but after we allowed to play through we were finished in 3 1/2 hours.
trying vewry hard to improve condition of course
Nice course in good condition. The greens are very good.
Bunkers raked. No complains
My area favorite
I have been visiting the area since the 1990's and this has been my favorite course after Matanzas which has been closed.
Course is a great layout - difficulty is there - it's in good shape overall - greens are fast - staff is excellent - what a pleasure!!
I joined the Tuesday Men's Club and will be a permanent player!
Disappointed
I was very disappointed in the condition of the course, especially some of the greens. Pine Lakes used to be THE course to play in Palm Coast. NO MORE; it's almost as bad as Cypress Knolls that doesn't get much play. The new owners are certainly not putting enough dollars into maintenance, and the price is outrageous. Needless to say I will not be playing there until I see major improvement.
Interesting course
Course in good shape. Fairways cut too short. Greens fast but fair. Some water but not extreme. Sand a little more difficult to get out of than normal.
fun day
I met 3 good guys to play with on a nice day and we enjoyed our round.
This course has some of the most contoured greens that you will find in this part of Florida so putting certainly adds an extra degree of difficulty here.
Potential to be a great course
This will be a great course if they put some money into the turf. Fairways are in poor shape right now it needs some weed control. Greens are in good shape and the ball runs true & fast. They hold the ball fine and most shots will back-up. It's still winter conditions so the fairways will only improve. Short shots around the green are difficult because of the poor conditions.
Staff is lacking...a little personality would help a lot. The starter was good and the maintenance staff on the course were good and friendly, the rest not so much. It all ads to the experience. No water in the water stands and they didn't mention that before we started. At the turn no food available fast and no cold drinks..gatoraid was warm. No ranger was the worst thing, 5 1/2 hour round.
That all being said, I will golf there again because the layout is so good.
the best of palm coast
We really enjoyed the round and will put it on best of courses to play.
Good old bones
The course used to be a great track. It has great old bones, but has not been taken care of recently. The greens were fast and challenging, this Arnold Palmer design has plenty of interesting holes.
With the proper effort and money it could be returned to its original glory. Many courses are suffering from the lack of investment and it shows here.
Fairways and greens
Inasmuch as it's February, the fairways are still lacking a good growth of grass. The ball usually has some mud on the ball, but lifting and cleaning solve that problem. The greens look a very dark green but they roll true and fast. Staying below the hole is a must. Good approach shots stay close to the impact point. Fun to putt, even if you three putt more than once. Staff, facility, food are all good.
overpriced
Fairways were rough, greens had weeds on them. Would be a good value at $25.00.
OK Nothing Special
Course seemed tired. Friendly staff, but no water on the course, or snack cart. Fast true greens. It was cart path only due to rain the day before. Not sure I woul play again.
difficult course.
The course is a good test. There is plenty of water and traps. The back tees stretch out to over 7000 yards. There is some water in blind spots which means a good shot can get wet if you don't know the course. The greens were very quick. Course was in okay shape. Not much rough. Many tight lies. I would play again.
The coures has no grass to chip from
Not worth the money to play, Fairways are bad no grass around the greens you hit matting and spikes in sand traps. The greens are average speed
but extreamly bumpy
