Nice easy course, well maintained, but really slow on the weekends

The course is well maintained, especially considering the amount of play it gets. The greens are on the slow side, but fairly reasonable for a muni. It's a pretty short course, which makes it fun for short hitters. For long hitters, there's 2-3 reachable greens and most of the par 5's are reachable in 2. Play can be extremely slow on the week ends. Green fees are just a tad high, but still reasonable.

OK for the area

Flat course. Some hole are close together so be careful. Degree of difficulty depends on the wind. Can be busy and a bit slow.

No practice area except a net with very old mats and they want you to pay to use this - Amazing

Nice, Sporty Little Track..

I have enjoyed many a nice afternoon/evening round at Poplar Creek. It`s a fun, sporty track with a mix of some challenge and ego-boosting holes. The wind, especially in the afternoon, is very much a part of the experience. The par 5 1st plays straight down wind which makes for a good start. But the par 4 2nd, doglegging back into the teeth of it makes up for it.
If you`ve had a rough start, 6-8th, a series of short par 4`s gives you the chance to get back on track.
The back 9 presents some tougher, longer par 4s on 10, 13, and 16, the latter 2 back into the wind. Even the short par 4 18th is no guarantee of a happy ending.
While the overall condition of the course is usually good, sometimes it`s better and sometimes its worse.
