One of the biggest greens in Bay Area. I paced it off at 75 yards long!! Photo submitted by aliikane10 on 07/14/2017
The Bridges
Be prepared to lose a lot of balls unless you hit it dead straight ... on the flip side, you will probably find a lot of balls. Try to play with someone with local knowledge... I didn't and paid the price. What I thought was a perfect tee shot turned into a lost ball more than once! There were a couple of drivable holes which was fun and made me feel like a pro! Others... better pull out the hybrid or you will be in the creek! The course was in great condition and good price on GolfNow! It was disappointing after the round when I wanted to grab a beer with fellow competitors and there was nobody tending a small, worthless little bar. It was basically shut down on a Wednesday at 5PM. Rather odd! But, you could just head down the road to The Firehouse No. 37
Can't wait to go back
What a gem of a golf course! Was the golf course difficult? Yeah. Did it matter? No! I find it funny when people complain about the difficulty of a golf course or the wind or weather etc. This golf course is immaculate and I couldn't ask for anything more. The greens are firm and fast and roll true. The bunkers are all well maintained and in great condition. The staff even cleaned our clubs at the end of the round! If you're looking for that true private country club experience this is the place to go!
I will come back
Very nice experience indeed. The only strange thing about it was that we (me and my brother) were set up with 2 other guys in a four ball. The course was empty. we didn't se any other player the whole round. Thats the reason the round took us 5 hours to finish. The course i beautiful, in immaculate condition.
Only for Target Golfers
The Bridges is really well maintained and a challenging course but ... it's SO narrow, that with the undulations in the fairway, it's really hard to not get into trouble off the tee on so many holes. Unless you can really control your shots, expect to lose more balls than you're used to.
The problem there, too, is that this is the layout of pretty much the entire course. Even though the holes are quite beautiful and present their own challenges, most of them feel like other holes you've just played, and that's not quite so fun.
I would recommend this to anyone who can control their woods and driving irons, as it's a good challenge. But if that's not your speciality, it's going to be a frustrating day.
Again, the course is in great shape and everyone there was super helpful and friendly, but hoo boy it was rough for an average (19-20 handicap) golfer like me.
Very Tough in Very Unusual Gale Force Winds
Never had forced carries off the blue tees with gale force winds where your mind thinks, I might not make it. From the blacks, yes, in the wind, you might go back to blues. But the blues where 10-20yds in front of the whites and still the forced carries, if you never have been before, are the best I have ever seen. I must return to this trak for revenge. Loved my round although I did shoot 106. Very tuff trak if you have never been.
Played this course after a very rainy period. Would
be a great course with bettor weather.
Bad / unprofessional pro shop
Had a time booked with GolfNow. It was full rate.
Bridges cancelled it on the morning of the round. Luckily I saw while getting ready to leave and called them. They said "you need to call golfnow, that time has been booked for 10 days". Umm.. nice try. Bad liars. There's a reason this place has bad reviews.
If bridges doesn't want golfnow business, they should get out of the system. Canceling rounds the morning of a tee time and leaving guys out in the cold is a bad way to run an operation. Rookie move.
This course is well manicure and perfect condition. The staffs are very friendly, always got a smile on their face. The restaurant is very beautiful, but food could be better.
Perfect day with minimal sprinkling
the good thing about day that might rain is the wanna be golfers aren't there so place of play was incredible (3hrs 18 mins).Had a couple sprinkles here and there but not enough to really get wet.Course was in amazing shape and greens still very fast.I love this course because it doesn't just make you use most every club but makes you play smart if you want a good score. The only complaint I could make at all was there was no cart girl but given the minimal amount of people(maybe 8 cars in the lot when we arrived)I didn't expect her there, overall an amazing game of golf.
Great course
It is one of better place to pay in SF Bay area. It is not long course but very challenge course. Narrow fairway and often time ball placement more important than distance.
Great Value for twilight
The course is one of the best maintained courses around its location. This is designed for better golfers. I personally love the lay out. The tee to green are well kept. The green fee was reasonable using golfnow.
Great Course, Great Day
The weather was just perfect. The course is in great shape. The grass off of the fairway is long, but offers a great challenge. Anyone looking for a golf course that will challenge your game needs to come here.
Beautiful Course with High Degree of Difficulty
This is a beautiful course and one that appears to be holding up in the midst of the drought. The layout rewards accurate shooters and punishes those who cannot control their direction. The facility has the look and feel of a high-end private course. I strongly recommend it to golfers with relatively low handicaps.
Great price for a great course
Got a great deal on Golfnow to play at a premier course in the Bay Area. I love the layout, it's challenging, and some of the vegetation has been removed to make the course more playable.
Better than I thought it would be
Starter was right on the money with his advice...keep your drives left, putts break towards the canyons. I had heard bad things about the difficulty of the course and that it was unfair. Not true! I found the course to be lots of fun...and if you play to the starter's advice...very fair. I will be back!
Course sucked
My group hit several great shots and ended up losing several balls. Had several hilly holes that had cart path only with no yardages so you end up taking gnear every club in your bag down to your ball. Every green was full of divot marks .
