One of the biggest greens in Bay Area. I paced it off at 75 yards long!! Photo submitted by aliikane10 on 07/14/2017
Excellent public course!
My brother and I played for my first time and really enjoyed it. We are also private club members, but like to play other courses regularly. Definitely one of the nicest kept public courses - challenging too. Great value all around!
Best conditioned golf course in Tri-Valley
I loved the conditions of the golf course. Although, it was extremely difficult playing from the back tees. It is alot of placement golf, where you have awkward lies. I played around 5pm and it was only $30 and played in 2.5hrs for 18. Great conditions!
Beautiful Hills and Lots of Forced Carries
The Bridges is an interesting course with beautiful hills and lots of forced carries. A golf cart is a must because of the elevation changes and some of the holes are far apart. The force carries will not be a problem if you can drive 200 yards straight. Bring at least a dozen of ball.
Missed fairway = lost ball. Play elsewhere.
Very scenic but absurdly difficult. Most holes have fairway, cartpath, and rain forests. Almost like island fairways. Add wind gusts of 20+ and its not worth your effort. No bailout areas, no risk vs reward strategy, just hit it straight and long or go get another ball from your bag. Greens were protected by hazards on one side and pins were cut unusually close to the other side, making safe bail out approaches impossible to get up and down. My playing partner and I are both single digit hdcp and neither broke 90 despite decent play. Too many good alternatives to spend a day here. Avoid.
great course
best course conditions around, and very challenging.
This course well maintain
The course is beautiful and well maintain, love it
Wet conditions but the course played well
The clouds stopped crying long enough for me to play 18 here at the Bridges. The course drained well so it was damp but not soaked. The greens were moist but still had some speed and drops that had some in my playing group reserving a Sunday slot for confession for their sour mouths. The course has some maturing to do after the major changes of decreasing bunkers and cutting of a great deal of foliage that made the Bridges the challenge it WAS. Nuff said.
Nice layout
Nice course layyout and well maintained facility. All staff members were polite and helpful as this was our first time playing this course.
very good golf court
excellent court, very nice and friendly staff. will come back
many time to play bring more friend too
Very nice course
Great course, well maintained, will use all your clubs. They were aerating their course at this time but it did not hurt our play. We teed off at 8:10 and finished in just over 4 hours. Lots of bunkers, some layups, had to be accurate with your shots and very fast greens with probably the most difficult pin placements I have ever played with the speed of the greens very fast. My son told me about this course as he has played it before. By the way that is who I played with, had a great time. Will play this course again.
Very challenging course
As a long time scratch golfer, I can say this course is the hardest I've played in years! Every hole requires an accurate drive (lost ball, no hazard for most holes). Greens were in great condition, probably running a 9 on the stimpmeter.
This course is awesome.
Nice fairway, beautiful green condition.
Challenging course.
You should prepare extra balls! ^ ^
this is a very challenging course
I love the course, very challenging, hard and well maintained
Challenging course.
Played for the first time. Had fun but challenged on some holes. Played on a windy day which made it even tougher.
course was in excellent condition
course was in great condition. it makes you play smart and hit good shots. lots of trouble for the errant ones. great value for the price
Challenging Course, but fair
This is a difficult course, but fair. If you're an errant driver of the ball, you'll lose a lot of golf balls as trouble exists too far off the fairway on most (if not all) holes. That being said, it's not ridiculous. The course rewards solid, conservative, smart plays and will have you using a variety of clubs off the tee, on approaches, etc. Short par 4s present good scoring opportunities, while the par 5s are guarded by ravines ahead of the greens.
The course is extremely well kept and the staff is very friendly with the marshals making sure everyone is moving. Bring your A game and some extra golf balls.
It's a Championship Course
For first timers this course will eat you up. Course knowledge goes a long way. Conditions are great, well kept bunkers are fluffy. Green conditions vary from slow and spongy to fast and firm. The layout will test your ability to hit the long clubs in your bag, although it will be smart play to keep it in the fairway and away from rough and hillsides because hitting a ball OB will turn an beautiful day into a miserable one. Well managed, very courteous staff. Watch out for big tournament days because they will turn a 430 round into a 5 hour plus round very quickly. This course is meant to bring out your A game and most often it will find a way to make you fail. I'd recommend it to all with exception to beginner golfers.
Great and tough course
If you can hit straight, this course is great. If you spray a bit, good luck to you. Take lots of balls, you will lose some, because if you can't stay on the fairway, it will break your back.
the greens were soft and held shots, but were VERY slow to wet, grass too long???

Greens are getting there.
Greens were just punched so that was understandable but a couple of the fairways are being worked on. #2 & 14 other than that it played great.
