A little disappointed

I had heard so many good comments about this course saying it was a tough layout but a not to be missed experience. I found it to be a nice course but nothing special. The tees looked like a rototiller had gotten loose. Most of the greens had so many unrepaired ball marks it seemed the club had prohibited their repair. I was glad I used a Rewards voucher rather than even the discount rate. Can't imagine paying $65 rack rate.

Slow, slow, slow

This was a tough track that should have made for a fun day. But there were a couple of asian foursomes in front of us that were intent on having a long day with their friends. 5 hours and forty minutes is too long.

Hot day

I played from the white because the 3 persons I was paired up with wanted to play from there. I usually play from the blue. I thought the course was well balanced with some challenging holes followed up with some much easier ones. This helped bring the score back down and keep the golf brain engaged rather than giving up.

This course is extremely challenging, particularly during a windy afternoon

Course condition very nice, but challenging and windy. The three-some in front of us (also 3 some) was slow so we had to wait almost every hole from the third hole onward. We didn't see marshal nor any course staff throughout the 18 holes - it was quite annoying during a few holes.

Great track..if playing with someone who knows it

Overall this is a great course. From friendly proshop workers and starters to an attentive cart girl I would play here again in a heart beat. The course is challenging and almost unplayable if you aren't playing wtih someone who knows the course but the course is beautiful and the greens roll true. More blind shots than I would like.

Beware the great deal

Super low price for afternoon round. Low price was due to aeration of greens. Check before you book. Course was in great condition. Very green and lush throughout the course. No water shortage here! This course is a must play if you like a challenge. Bring lots of balls, target golf is a must with the tight fairways and difficult greens. Pro shop staff is excellent. Can't wait to play again once the greens are healed.

Nice sourse

Beautiful ,challenging course. If you can't consistently hit 200 yards, take plenty of balls because the rough on this course is a killer.

Excellent public course!

My brother and I played for my first time and really enjoyed it. We are also private club members, but like to play other courses regularly. Definitely one of the nicest kept public courses - challenging too. Great value all around!

Best conditioned golf course in Tri-Valley

I loved the conditions of the golf course. Although, it was extremely difficult playing from the back tees. It is alot of placement golf, where you have awkward lies. I played around 5pm and it was only $30 and played in 2.5hrs for 18. Great conditions!

Beautiful Hills and Lots of Forced Carries

The Bridges is an interesting course with beautiful hills and lots of forced carries. A golf cart is a must because of the elevation changes and some of the holes are far apart. The force carries will not be a problem if you can drive 200 yards straight. Bring at least a dozen of ball.

Missed fairway = lost ball. Play elsewhere.

Very scenic but absurdly difficult. Most holes have fairway, cartpath, and rain forests. Almost like island fairways. Add wind gusts of 20+ and its not worth your effort. No bailout areas, no risk vs reward strategy, just hit it straight and long or go get another ball from your bag. Greens were protected by hazards on one side and pins were cut unusually close to the other side, making safe bail out approaches impossible to get up and down. My playing partner and I are both single digit hdcp and neither broke 90 despite decent play. Too many good alternatives to spend a day here. Avoid.

Wet conditions but the course played well

The clouds stopped crying long enough for me to play 18 here at the Bridges. The course drained well so it was damp but not soaked. The greens were moist but still had some speed and drops that had some in my playing group reserving a Sunday slot for confession for their sour mouths. The course has some maturing to do after the major changes of decreasing bunkers and cutting of a great deal of foliage that made the Bridges the challenge it WAS. Nuff said.
