Flamingo Lakes Country Club
About
Flamingo Lakes Country Club in Pembroke Pines is one of the area's best-kept secrets. The layout is challenging but it is also very forgiving, making it accessible for players of any skill level. The course differs from other golf courses in the area due to its hilly terrain. Elevation changes are not common occurrences on Florida golf courses but you'll find several tricky uneven lies on this one. It also stands out for its superb conditions. Water hazards come into play on almost every hole, presenting some interesting risk-reward opportunities. There are also several strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout. The layout requires thought and strategy in order to score well. Flamingo Lakes isn't long, instead it provides a quick and challenging round that can be played in less than four hours.

Bad
There are a lot of better courses around. Staff is not super friendly, putting green is inconvenient, course plays slow.
What a dump. Don’t waste your money. Closed restaurant on every Monday
I’ll start with this, I love my local dump courses back in nyc which I pay $20-$30 for. I also enjoy the nice courses that I play here in Florida/Ohio/New York. This could not have been a worse experience.
We show up they don’t accept half the major cards so be prepared for that. We then head to the first and there are 5 4somes waiting to tee off. Luckily we were the second in the group but easily could have been caught in a very poorly run first tee. No starter to keep things organized. The whole day the course played slow. The conditions were gross for $50. I thought I was putting on Normandy beach so don’t be prepared to score. The fairways were alright at best. The rough in some spots could not have been more bizarre. The grass grew to just over ball height so the ball was hidden, but you were hitting off mud with no grass down below? Hard to describe but don’t miss fairways on some holes.
Be prepared to have no water on the course. There are only 2 water stations that I saw on the whole course and they were not obvious unless you’ve played. The course doesn’t have the restaurant going on every Monday and there was no bev cart going around. On a national holiday you’d think they’d have the foresight to have people working on a Monday when the course was way overbooked. Silly on their end but no my decision.
I could write more about this lame experience but I’m mentally exhausted thinking about this course again.
Winter value
Some greens were in rough shape. Overall course is a good value.
