Flamingo Lakes Country Club in Pembroke Pines is one of the area's best-kept secrets. The layout is challenging but it is also very forgiving, making it accessible for players of any skill level. The course differs from other golf courses in the area due to its hilly terrain. Elevation changes are not common occurrences on Florida golf courses but you'll find several tricky uneven lies on this one. It also stands out for its superb conditions. Water hazards come into play on almost every hole, presenting some interesting risk-reward opportunities. There are also several strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout. The layout requires thought and strategy in order to score well. Flamingo Lakes isn't long, instead it provides a quick and challenging round that can be played in less than four hours.

1st time at this course. The course conditions were average for this time, which is relative to this class of courses. We started about an hour behind. This was because of the holiday weekend. It allowed me some time to get some chipping and putting in near the 1st hole. I would play here again.

Great value for the money. Shorter course but still challenging. Pace has been a drawback both times I’ve been, but the starters do a good job of trying to keep things moving.

Short little Gem

I came into the morning with little expectations paying only 35$ I was happy just to hit the ball around and drink some brews before the football games. To my surprise this course was in great condition. Greens were quick a few on the back were cut too short on the grow back from aeration and dried out, this is something I expect they will remedy before peak season as most courses use shoulder season as their final tidy up. Fairways were great, rough was really deep and thick. Making it a tough course. Thought I would break 80 just looking at the score card and distances alone.

Really a great surprise of challenge and tight fairways strategic water placement and some nice forced Carries.

There is no driving range, the golf carts are very very outdated but other than that it was a great time
