Flamingo Lakes Country Club in Pembroke Pines is one of the area's best-kept secrets. The layout is challenging but it is also very forgiving, making it accessible for players of any skill level. The course differs from other golf courses in the area due to its hilly terrain. Elevation changes are not common occurrences on Florida golf courses but you'll find several tricky uneven lies on this one. It also stands out for its superb conditions. Water hazards come into play on almost every hole, presenting some interesting risk-reward opportunities. There are also several strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout. The layout requires thought and strategy in order to score well. Flamingo Lakes isn't long, instead it provides a quick and challenging round that can be played in less than four hours.

Flamingo Lakes
Great shape. Fabulous greens. Easy to read. Fairways in good shape. Played the gold tees and enjoyed it. Will return.
Play
Surprised to pay $2 each rider for sanitation fee but did not appear real clean! could not take cart to car and no bag drop. Had to carry bags across parking lot to cart path to first hole. Pass of play was a little slow. Course is in pretty good condition.
Twilight golf
Nice course. Tough greens - dry and hard. Par 3 was not long but limited green space to land your ball.
Starter and pro shop were helpfu. Will return there again.
It is close the I95 highway.
A Good Track for the Right Price
A quirky, often narrow, course shoehorned inside a retirement community, the water-laden Flamingo Lakes always plays tougher than it looks and my round was no exception. But for a $30 Hot Deal, it was worth a quick trek with three amiable Canadians around a solidly-conditioned track that, unfortunately. did not offer beverage cart service. Lone bone to pick was starter misidentifying my playing partners.
Save your money
Course conditions were poor at best. Greens looked like tee boxes, tee boxes looked like dirt traps. Fairways were ok. Course is very short but the layout is decent. Had to pay a $2.00 surcharge for sanitation of the golf carts. Then had to pay $13.00 surcharge to ride alone in the middle of a Pandemic. My golfnow confirmation states I paid in full and there was no mention of any surcharges. When I approached the staff with my concerns they basically ignored me and said that is the way it is now. I wasn't able to get a refund as it was a hot deal. This may fall under the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act.

Enjoyed our round
We arrived in the area that morning and went directly to the golf course. The café made lunches for us to take on the course. We were paired with two others who were very pleasant. The course was in decent shape and we were able to play our round in 4 1/2 hours on a Saturday afternoon. Overall it was a very nice day and met all of our expectations.

Unique course with undulating fairways and greens. Fun day.
