Best Course and Practice facility in this area (no context);
Played everywhere around here; as a 30 year veteran Snowbird in Port Charlotte. Riverwood is a cut above the rest! Layout and estetics are top notch. A “Tough but Fair” track, fabulous practice facility. On the pricier side of things, but worth it if you’re a golf snob or enjoy a nice treat.
Really nice round at Riverwood.
Had a really good experience at Riverwood. The staff was very friendly from the guys at the bag drop area to the staff inside the pro shop. The practice facilities area very nice with three different areas for putting, chipping, and driving range. (Nice new balls on the driving range). Pace of play was average for the weekend and the course was in great condition with fast greens. Price was a little high ($79), but as the saying goes you get what you pay for. Would recommend this place to a friend and will look to play here again next year.
Love this place
The layout is awesome. Some blind shots. Some holes that make you think. Greens are definitely puttable. If you got your game going on you will shot a good number. I will play this course again.
Terrible Experience
Would not waste your money to play this course. Greens were in okay condition. Staff very rude and condescending. Members are rude as well. Not worth the money at all. Will not be going back even if it is for free. Don’t let the ratings fool you. This is coming from someone who plays private clubs and public golf courses.
The course will give any golfer a challenge, depending on what tees you play.
The course was in great shape and I really enjoyed my round. Greens were really fast. loved it!

Value
This is the best course around for 50 miles, the fit and finish are always very good. If you can keep the price under $70.00 it is great value and even if you can't you need to get on Riverwood just to experience it at least once.

Beautiful layout and conditions. Challenging but fair — one of the top golf courses in the area.

Absolutely superb conditions. Very scenic. Maintenance on course and in peripheral areas very good indeed.

Snowbird Golfer
Played course a few days ago before Christmas. Great condition but the fairways needed to be cut. They were cut when I played today and conditions were excellent once again.Highly recommend this course.Played on GolfNow reservation using Promo Code.

Course is always in great shape., and the layout tests every club in your bag. Come early and use the great practice facility

I am not exactly sure what happened with this person. However as a former member of this fine facility I can speak to the quality of the golf staff. Bob Chris and the rest of the golf staff are professional and polite. The course is one of the best in all of Florida period. The practice facility is great! All of this and always a 4 hour round, what else could you ask for?
