Achasta Golf Club

Can't think of anything bad except, I would like to see pictures of each hole on the scorecard so you know where water was lurking. Great course in pristine condition even with all the rain.
If you haven't played it watch out for water on the par 5s. Second par 5 on the back is a brute. Hardest part of this course is the par 5s and the approach shot to the greens.
If you are anywhere near chestatee, drive the additional 10 miles to play this beauty.

I played the Masters Sunday and of course, the pace was really fast. Considering it was a private course, the greens were not as well maintained. But over all, my guests were very pleased with the course layout and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. I am looking forward to play again.

The complete experience at Achasta was truly great. The staff were so incredibly friendly, the course was in great shape even though the greens were a bit firm, and the pace of play was wonderful. I can't really think of anything else to want out of a day of golf. The course itself is laid out in a beautiful environment with surrounding lots and homes. Excellent use of the natural lay of the land and bringing in the river into play on multiple holes.

Even though I was not playing well, it was a treat to see this beautiful course on a perfect day. I'll be back soon.

Tee boxes, fairways, greens and bunkers were in excellent condition. The scenic river running through the course makes you stop and enjoy nature. It has been about a year since I played this course, but I'll be tuning in to golf now for another deal. Magnificant golf experience!

Course was in great condition considering all the rain they had and the time of year. The only thing that was bad was the "cart path only" but we expected that due to very soggy fairways in some areas. Greens were in good shape and they putted very true. Quick, but not too fast. The people there from the man at the guard house to the staff in the club house were the most friendly and helpful people I have ever run into at a golf course. They were so great it didn't even upset me that I was charged $28.00 for a hat with a $25.00 price tag on it. LOL! Can't wait to go back and play when the conditions are back to normal. If you get a chance to play here.........Just Do It!

This is my favorite course in North Gerogia. It is absolutely gorgeous, never crowded and a fantastic challenge.

Great course! Conditions are excellent greens are fast and tricky. Staff is excellent. Challanging holes. I will return as often as possible. A real gem in northern GA.

This is one of my favorite courses! The Nicklaus designed course proves to challenge even the seasoned veterans. Couldn't ask for many better views than the Chestatee River that runs right along the course. The staff is great and provided ample opportunities to extend their services to me and my guest. Maintenance of facility and course is top notch. Not sure if this course has a bad lie anywhere! I will most certainly play here again on multiple occasions.

I love this course. It is a wonderful course, in a beautiful valley, surrounded by fall colors. Course is in perfect condition (as always). We play here as often as possible.

If you can get here, do it. You will be thrilled with this amazing Jack Nicklaus golf course. Great layout, great holes, great green complexes (firm and very fast) and very nice facilities.

The staff was friendly and helpfull. The course was beautiful, but greens need work. The fairways were good and layout was superior. For the price paid on special a great value.

This course is one of the best public golf course in Georgia.

As for course conditions and scenery, Achasta is more than adequate. I thought the number of holes "with a twist" was just right and the more challenging holes weren't beyond a bogey golfer's skill level on a good day. I was a little disappointed that since they probably have quite a few non-regulars playing there, there was no accommodation for understanding the course lay-out. Specifically, there's water everywhere. Creeks, the Chestatee River, ponds, and a lake affect all but a couple holes. They help to add beauty, but if you don't have any idea about course layout, you might as well plan on bringing an extra sleeve of balls. So track down some aerial views or drawings of hole layouts. You'll enjoy it more if you do. Overall, I thought this was a great course to play with a vacationing friend because it's unique and beautiful and challenging. But if you're going to play it regularly, the unique aspect of it doesn't make as much difference and there are several other beautiful, well maintained courses in the north Georgia area that you can play for a lot less.

You could not ask for more in a golf course!

You would think that a course in the mountains would be up and down with hills to climb. WRONG.

The course sits in a river valley and is wonderfully groomed. Watch out for the river that runs thru the course. Make sure you purchase the book for layout and distances.

This is a great course and I will play it again!

Course is fun to play, really great views and wide fairways. Could play pretty easy from forward tees, but it is a good test from the back tees. Rerally nice practice area as well.

Great layout in the beautiful North Georgia mountains. Well conditioned course is in great shape anytime of the year. Great practice facility is right next to the first tee. This would be on anyone's top 5 courses in N Ga.
