Achasta Golf Club

This is a wonderful golf course tucked away at the base of the mountains with a river meandering thru the course and coming into play on several holes. Course was immaculate and the greens were perfect and held shots very well. Views were spectacular as only a couple of houses on the course. Plus from the tips it's not too long. Would highly recommend it for all handicaps.

This was my 4th time playing Achasta. Gorgeous course and great scenery. Course is in very good shape and from the Blue tees, offers a good challenge. Highly recommend a round or two here!

Ive played a lot of courses in north ga but this is by far the best i have played maybe the best course i have played in the state

Just amazing

The course was in great shape and played fair for me as an intermediate level player. Open fairways on most of the longer holes and had a good flow from one hole to the next. A river runs through most of the course and the layout takes good advantage of play along and over the river. The elevation changes are moderate compared to most courses in No GA. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Best course I have played in Atlanta area. Putting greens are too challenging

The course conditions and course layout was excellent. It was great to play a course at a little higher elevation to get out of the Atlanta heat.

The restaurant left a little to be desired as far as selection. However the beverage cart had everything we wanted and needed.

I would definitely go play the course again. It was fun and enjoyable with great conditions.

The course was very nice. I was very disappointed by the pro. We booked the tee time online for 3 for a very good price. We then called immediately afterward to add a fourth. The pro agreed to add the fourth. When we arrived, the price of the fourth was double that of the rest of us. The pro never mentioned when we booked the fourth that the price would not be the same as the rest. I felt he deliberately misled us. I will not play there again.

This is the second time that I have played this course. Beautiful layout that is challenging for the low handicapper and accommodating to the mid to high handicapper due to multiple tee boxes. Staff is excellent. Course conditions will be 5 star in another month as fairways completely thicken up. I highly recommend Achasta.

This course is a gem of a course in North Georgia. Its very forgiving off the tee but the course has many interesting and challenging holes designed by the Golden Bear himself. Its an hour drive for me, but worth it when I can swing it.They also have an excellent practice facility and for 4 bucks you can hit a ton of balls and then practice out of an excellent sand bunker. Greens are excellent and they staff is very friendly.

The course is beautiful and the area it is set in is beautiful as well. We have a very very rainy day and the course was soaked. But, we got to play and never got rained on during play. I would love to play it again with nice warm and dry conditions.

Tom the Head Golf Professional was extremely nice and helpful. He took the time to go over every hole in the yardage book which was very helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my first round of golf here and will return for many more rounds. The course was in good condition and I could tell would be in excellent shape as we enter late spring and summer.

This course is a lot of fun to play but difficult and requires a lot of course management. A few forced carries, rivers and streams, and sugar-like traps add depth. The greens were in excellent shape, fairly fast, and subtle to read. From straightforward par threes, to a wide variety of par fours, to long par fives, this course features a lot of variety that leads to the use of most clubs in your bag, including some long irons and hybrids off the tee. The only issue is several holes that hold water, so beware of damp lies

the course was playing tough with high winds, tough par threes from the tips, and dormant grass. Greens were very nice, no logo balls in pro shop. Overall a good course.

Love this course one of the best in North Georgia in my opinion. Staff could use a little work not the most friendly people. Course has been in good condition every time I play it.

The greens were fast, but that added to the challenge. Leaves were changing and we enjoyed the surroundings. We had dinner after the round and the food was fabulous.

Man I'll tell you God smiled on us today. It rained the whole drive up 400. Still raining on route 60 turn into Achasta The rain stops. Now to the course She is in great shape greens are fast and smooth. The bunkers both fairway and green-side are in great shape. They promote hitting good shots out of them. Fairway are in good shape. If I had to lodge a complaint it would be about the tee boxes. I'm sure they will get those right but no an issue that effects your experience. Take a ride up there. I will be back soon.

Beautiful course. Had a free foursome hot deal and man did we ever take advantage of it. one of the nicest courses I've played. Just a long way from home. We drove 1.5 hrs but it was well worth it.

One of the best layouts I have played. The fairways were nice and wide, but the approach shots made you think. Par 3's were challenging. The greens could have been in better shape, but were not bad. Some tee boxes need (more) work. Fairways were in immaculate shape.

The only complaint I have is that the carts could have had rain canopies. It was raining when we teed off, but luckily it stopped soon after, otherwise our bags would have been soaked. One would expect better from a high-end/Arnold Palmer course.

Enjoyed another round at Achasta yesterday afternoon. They'd had a big storm the previous day so fairways were soaked and it was understandably cart path only. Conditions were otherwise very good as usual and staff seemed genuinely happy to have us there. We were a twosome and played In 3:30. I find the course to have a great mix of holes and now that I've played it a few times better understand how to play the somewhat quirky ones (4, 9, 15). Hope to get back again while the leaves are turning!
