Need improvement
The course has picked up the pace as far as improvements, but it still has a way to go to be worth the money for just 9 holes. Maybe with all the gentrification and caucasians that play at this course now, they will get better.
The best condition I’ve seen course in 15 years
Yes, Yes, &Yes. The condition is definitely the best since I started playing over 15 years.. Thank you to all that contributed to making this one if not the best public 9-Hole Course in Atlanta!! Challenging course especially the slopes on greens will challenge every put!!
Great 9 quick to play
Course is in great shape, green are rolling mid fast, but they need to roll the surface & cut them a little lower. Bunkers are excellent, nice fuffy white sand. Clean course, maintenance was blowing the green when we got there.
I didn't know that
I didn't know that John A. White got new greens.
I haven't been playing this course in a while even it is so close to my home because the greens were a desaster.
This changed completely ... You'll see ma again soon.
Course was great
First time playing it this year , compared to the last time I played it this was a night and day transformation greens were in best shape I had ever seen them . Found out from the staff that they were recently replaced I will definitely be playing it again soon.....
Great! Great Great!
This is basically a NEW course. New Zoysia greens and Bermuda fairways with plenty of grass. Your golf ball sits up in the summer time which makes it easy to make good contact. New practice putting greens and practice facility. New management and the association with the First Tee Program brings this golf course into the big leagues. Love, love to play this course and have played it for over 15 years. It is in GREAT shape. The best it has been in within the last 15 years. You will NOT be disappointed in this course.

Great Nine Holes!!
The course has new zoyia greens and brand new bunkers. This is the best this course has looked and played for over ten years. Must play this course and have fun!
Short Par 4s and good course conditions, be wary of pace of play
The kind of golfers that play here include those that may take a lot of time to play…be ready to jump a hole if you’re willing too. Overall I would come back here to play, worth the try
Awesome
First time playing here staff was friendly and funny, course and greens were maintained would play again forsure
Good Course
This was my first time playing John A. White 9 Hole course as they have recently renovated all their Bunkers and Greens. The course was wet from all the rain and the greens were very slow. In my opinion, this is not a bad or terrible thing as the greens have just been installed and the course reopened on 8/19. With some time to mature and heal, the greens will be fantastic.
Playing the course is fairly straightforward as you open with a Par 5. I thoroughly enjoyed playing the course as it will allow you to work on your shots with your Irons and Hybrids. You definitely have to manage your play on this course. I can't wait to come back and play once the greens firm up and the fairways are drier.
One more thing, I love the fact that on the range warming up they have a cover that can protect you from the elements. Pretty cool to get loose before your round. I highly recommend you check out John A. White's course.
Greatly Improved
The course recently reopened after extensive work to the greens. The new greens are still playing slow but are in great shape. The fairways, tee boxes, and bunkers are also in great shape after a summer of TLC. The course is somewhat short but is still an enjoyable challenge for more experienced golfers with bunkers around most greens, some tight tee boxes, and elevation changes.
The staff is always friendly and helpful and the price is hard to beat. The driving range at this course is well maintained and buckets of balls are cheap.
JAW
We Played John A White today, it reopened after renovation last Friday. Good job redoing the course guys. Greens are a little low, due to not being cut low & rolled. But the course over all, is beautiful from what it was the last few years. We need the rain to stop & dry up the fairways.
Greens were a problem
The pace of play was not bad for a Saturday morning, the T-bioxes were ok and the fairways were good (when I was able to find them, but that’s my fault) the only real issue and it’s a major one was the condition of the greens. They were in a word-Horrible. They made putting almost impossible. This can be such a beautiful course, it’s challenging and has nice narrow fairways. But good GOD make the putting surface and actual putting surface!
My Round At John A White
This is overall a very nice 9 hole course. The fairway are in excellent condition, the course is very pretty. There’s only one major flaw. The greens are in horrific condition! I repeat the greens are in horrible condition!!
Greens Are a Disaster
The quality of the greens makes this course - quite frankly - unplayable. They’ve gotten worse over time and it’s a shame because the course is perfectly fine in all other respects.
Greens need work, in bad part of town
Overall the course was fine other than the greens, in very rough condition. The course is in a lower end part of town so the area is pretty sketchy. The staff was great and it’s a great course for beginners as the holes are wide open, just don’t expect to work on putting. I would go here again just since it’s affordable but maybe not on a Saturday or Sunday as they don’t have many golf carts.
