Great staff. Very good course layout. Good scene, good greens!
Great Day, Get What You Pay For
Took the fiance out for her first time on a course because it was a decent price and a 'learning course.' Course was full, but pace of play was pretty good. A couple of the greens have some issues, but that was expected and tee to green is a good experience.
Worst course in Atlanta
It's cheap for a reason. The course is in terrible condition. Waited 45 minutes for our carts to be ready. Range was closed due to equipment maintenance issues... The sprinklers turn on randomly during play. Really bizzare course.
Not recommended.
Greens
The greens are horrid. Don’t expect to putt when you play.
Sunday play
Some people like several balls off the tee. Slowed the game down
Great starter
We had fun and the overall experience was good. They could spend more money fixing the tee boxes and greens instead of the cart paths. Potential hidden gem. We'll try it again. I liked hearing the programs they have going to get the neighborhood golfers active there.
It sucks
I set a tee time for 8:50 am. Upon arrival I was told no one is allowed to tee off until 10 or 11. However, I see four individuals playing. They did not refund my money. I was told to go and ask. GolfNow.
Slow slow slow
Took over 3 hours to play 9 holes! No Marshall. No courtesy to allow others to play through. Too many walking and strolling around. Will never come back.
Public course and it shows
This was my first time playing here and will probably be my last. Pros: The staff were very nice especially after I called a week later to find my lost pitching wedge! The price is low. The course is short. It is the home of First Tee of Atlanta. Cons: It is a nine hole layout so you have to play it twice, not as much variety. The tee boxes have practically no grass. The greens had major bare spots throughout which made accurate putting impossible. I got behind 2 golfers for three holes that did not let me play through so I had to skip a hole and come back and play it twice to finish the 18. There was neither a grill nor snacks. There were no logo items for purchase to remember the outing. Overall, an inexpensive nine hole public course in a big city run by the parks department. You get what you pay for. I'm not sorry I played here but I want better course conditions and amenities from my golfing experience.
Great historic golf course
Considering the time of the year and the effects of Covid 19 the course is in manageable shape! I can only see it getting better! I've been playing this course for forty plus years and I love the courses layout!
