About
Monroe's Bear Creek Golf Club is situated in the heart of Walton County. It's less than an hour from Atlanta, making it a conveniently close getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The course originally opened in 1990 but in 2008 it changed ownership and underwent a major renovation that elevated its conditions to rival that of any of the area's best golf courses. The bunkers were rebuilt and re-sanded and the fairways were re-conditioned. Bear Creek G.C. has always been known for its excellent greens, which have a reputation for being some of the state's finest putting surfaces. The layout measures 6,585 yards from the back tees, which may seem short but there are some ups and downs throughout that will make it feel much longer.

Nice course but no range
Awesome round of golf today! Great course for the money. Only down side is no driving range.
Okay for the price but reminds me of other Closed courses
I guess it is hard to expect much from a $28 round.
Course was just fair. Greens are not in good shape but if you need to play to work on your swing and are on a budget this course is okay for that.
Drove 45mins to play but won’t make that again. Would rather pay twice as much for a better course.
Slow play
Play was slow and greens weren’t in best shape. Staff was super friendly. For the price it is a great deal
Great neighborhood course
Fun course with no driving range. Layout it good with alot of blind tee shots. Course was very wet this day. Greens looked very good.
Always fun
I play here often because I think it’s a great course for the money. I always recommend people to go here. The pace of play is usually very good but here lately it’s been a little slow, but probably because everyone is trying to get in a round between rain days

Really good course for the money on a little long and play pace I’ll probably pass course during the week only from now on.
Typical for the area
Have played here many times over the years. I know its winter and the grass is dormant so that's no problem, but I did notice the greens are not as nice as they were the last couple of years. I will go back because its a fun course to play. Has some challenging holes like #4 and #13, but also has some easier holes and ones that you can par easily if you play from the correct set of tees.
Great course
Greens were very good for this time of year (12-31), very playable, some brutally hard and some straight forward.
Not good.
This course was a awesome place to play. But this course is going down hill. I know it is winter golf. But the sand traps are very bad and the carts paths are horrible. I will probably never play there again.
Great course for the money
I always have fun here. I think the course layout is a good mix of a challenge and fairness.
