Bear Creek Golf Club
About
Monroe's Bear Creek Golf Club is situated in the heart of Walton County. It's less than an hour from Atlanta, making it a conveniently close getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The course originally opened in 1990 but in 2008 it changed ownership and underwent a major renovation that elevated its conditions to rival that of any of the area's best golf courses. The bunkers were rebuilt and re-sanded and the fairways were re-conditioned. Bear Creek G.C. has always been known for its excellent greens, which have a reputation for being some of the state's finest putting surfaces. The layout measures 6,585 yards from the back tees, which may seem short but there are some ups and downs throughout that will make it feel much longer.

Golfer Reviews
Not good.
This course was a awesome place to play. But this course is going down hill. I know it is winter golf. But the sand traps are very bad and the carts paths are horrible. I will probably never play there again.
Pretty Nice.....
I have played this course on many occasions. Its fairly short, and provides a great golf experience players of all levels. Its normally not very crowded.
Good course!
g
I haven't played here in over 2 years. Well worth the one hour drive from my house. The course is in fantastic shape, probably the best greens around (fast but true). Even with a lot of rain a few days ago the course was well drained. The course has a great layout.
November round
Weather was great. Staff very accomodating, Greens im gpod shape considering the time of year, Looks like they are upgrading parts of the course, Carts were very functional.
Nice Course - Nice Value
My son in law and I enjoyed the day. Course was in nice shape. Very reasonable prices. We'll be back.
Confusing course
1. The layout is very confusing and there aren’t many signs saying which way to go.
2. The person who took my money admitted to not being an employee and there were no employees there.
3. They didn’t have logo balls, hot food, or much of a pro shop at all for that matter.
4. It was more expensive than courses I typically play and the course and cart paths were not in good shape.
Overall Bear Creek is in the best shape, greens, sand traps and fairways
Overall Bear Creek is in the best shape. Greens, sand traps, and fairways are really good..
