Fairways of Canton Golf Club

The weather was so magnificent I had to get out with a friend. Course is in GREAT shape. I played very poorly but had a great time. My only complaint is no cart person for refreshments and so the water coolers are very important and they were not maintained. Either no water or tepid water. This ought to be a priority.

Great course with a lot of scenic views. Challenging but forgiving.

Fairways of canton begins with a relatively benign starting hole, but don't let that fol you! Variety of challenging holes, course management is key. Not much room to miss off the tee on most holes, if the driver isn't going straight its better to be in the short grass even if that means sacrificing some distance. Course was in good condition for the most part, greens were hard and fast. The edges of some greens looked to be burnt out, but otherwise VERY playable. A good test.

Have now played it 3 times. Great conditions, and very nice layout with lots of hills and picturesque views!!

Course was in average condition. Played 6 weeks ago and in that time there has been more crabgrass growth around the greens, made chipping a bit more unpredicatable. Greens were recently aerated 2 weeks ago so still growing in, but will be great in another week or so. Overall, course is nice but wish I had come in a couple of weeks. weeds around the greens needs to be addressed.

Overall pretty terrible. Lose balls that are few feet off the fairway because the rough has grass on top of grass on top of grass that hasn't been kept up

My Buddy whom I had not seen in 15 years called out of the blue in town wanted to Golf so we played Fairways of Canton. Great folks there friendly and fun my buddy Robbie could not believe the beauty and how much fun and tough the course was to manage Hid 1st time here--we had an add on player Rich , fun and we played the round in 3 hours 15 minutes--DO NOT Miss out playing here tough but such good folks and #17 and 18 will amaze you with the view

Fairways of Canton is a wonderful playing experience. It feels like a course deep in the Great Smokies, but only 30 min north of Marietta + North Atlanta . The mountaintop views are spectacular, the course layout is a lot of fun, and the facilities are very well maintained. I recommend this for both recreational players looking to beat the heat, and also for big hitters looking for a challenge off the blue or black tee boxes.

Great design and layout... Course in good shape, the greens were still punched and sandy so putting was not good at all. Several older non-golfers in front of us. ... Caused slow slow play. I.E. Waited from 250 for a par 5 to clear the green... Hit no further than 190

This course deserves to be in the rotation, certainly of north/northwest Atlanta players. See how you do, especially your first round.

I got the price for about a half normally paid.

the over all course was good, that was doing work on the greens...once the greens are completed i would like to play again

When we booked our tee time, we were not aware the greens had just been punched and full of sand. Impossible to putt.

Don't want to play a course in this condition.

Having recently moved up here from Florida, I was amazed at mountain golf. The elevation changes and the views were amazing. Although the greens were recently aerated the putted fair. Course was in good shape. I can't wait to go back.

We played on a Tuesday and seemed to be very busy and very, very slow play with players unaware of "ready play golf". Overall this course is a very good course and fun to play with beautiful scenery on most holes.

Greens were inconsistent. Some slick. Some slow. Looked like they did not mow the stressed greens.

Course is in great shape as usual. Fun and challenging golf course and well kept , hat off to the grounds keepers. Did not have any food or beverage so I was unable to rate that catorgory.

Should be called non-fairways of Canton. If you like blind shots, bumpy, inconsistent, and sometimes fast greens, no way to play in even close to 4 hours and "fairways" that you'd get a letter from your HOA from if it was your yard then this is the place for you. Otherwise save your money and go elsewhere. Rarely have I played a course and said I'd never go back, this is one of them I would never, ever go back to.

Greens are multi level and be sure to be on correct level or at least below the hole! Putt fast and true. Greens are hard so have to take into account on approach shots. Although not a long track, target golf and a difficult course for even lowest handicap.
