About
Red Bridge Golf & Country Club in Locust is routed through stands of mature trees that give the course a peacefully secluded feel. The layout wanders across gently rolling hills, providing a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. There is a stream that runs throughout the golf course, coming into play on a few holes. The course is seemingly long at 7,100 yards from the back tees but it's more forgiving than it appears, which means players of all skill levels can enjoy the golf course. The design relied heavily on the natural features of the landscape, allowing the course to blend seamlessly into the natural surroundings while also shaping natural hazards. There are also strategically placed bunkers throughout Red Bridge that complement rather than overtake the natural challenges.

Not a $60 course.
They have made some changes to the course, but tee boxes are torn up and the greens have small grass spots sprouting everywhere and makes it like putting through a plinko machine. The are way overpriced for the condition the course is in.

I know your team has provided better course conditions in the past, but....
>Many tee boxes were void of grass.
>Greens had weeds that made it impossible to read a putt.
>I'm a hacker, but there are quite a few courses in the area that are in much better condition this time of year, have as much play, and offer a lower price.

Needs to Recover
The course is struggling to recover from the winter and early season rain. Lots of tee boxes are lost and greens have a lot of bare spots and crab grass popping through. Even the fairways are lacking grass in many places. It’s inexpensive and I like the layout, but even at a daytime weekday rate it wasn’t worth it.

The course was great, I love it. Green had a bit of crabgrass but other than that great!

Beautiful course, in great shape for this time of year. Cart paths are smooth.

Rough day
Course was very wet. Usually a great course, but all the rain made play poor.

Greens are lost hopefully short term
Gorgeous weather made for slow conditions due to extremely slow fellas in front of us and wet fairways. Cart path only is not for those that can't walk more than a few feet at a time. Greens were almost unplayable due to crabgrass, esp. on front 9.. Always a challenging course and will be back in time.

This is a great and challenging course. In great shape, just a little crabgrass on the greens! Love this course.
Love this course
This is a great challenging course, and I love it! Pace I okay was good , the greens had some crabgrass but other than that, excellent!
Wet, Windy and Cold but still a super day.
Truth be told, I am a golf addict so any time spent on a course is good!
The rain in the area of RB has been constant for days so the course was wet...way wet...but the greens were still very playable. The sun came out as soon as we started play and the sky was both Duke Blue and Carolina Blue (surely a sign of something big!)
The carts were very clean despite the environmental conditions...and as usual, all the course employees were friendly and professional. Due to the wetness/slipperiness and the need to walk/play slowly we finished up as the sun was getting close to the horizon...the cart attendant, as well as the pro shop closing staff, were very understanding of our delay. Thank you for allowing us to get those last holes in!
Very Disappointed
Usually the course is ok to play. We were very disappointed today as the greens have weeds growing on them. Some of them were so bad that the ball would bounce all the towards the hole. It was almost impossible to get a good read on putts.

Another great day
All the recent rain meant 'carts on path' but that just makes me play harder so the ball will to come to a rest near the path!
Staff was friendly as usual and although there was a hard freeze the previous night, things were only slightly delayed when it came time to tee off.
For this time of year the greens are in great shape...the only issue was that someone in a group ahead of us either had metal spikes or they kept dragging their feet...we did our part and tapped down any really bad spots as we putt.
Poor conditions
It was cold, windy, and wet! We golfed because we had prepaid on this surprise ugly winter day. Other golfers were scarce which made the pace of play excellently! Wet fairways made our round very challenging!

Robert, we apologize for the course conditions and are working on them. We actually are closing the course Monday & Tuesday to try and cut as much of the Poa Annua out of the greens as we can. Please bear with us as we are working hard to improve the conditions.
