Designed by Arthur Hills, the Groves Golf Course may be a "short" course but it's still a challenge. It's one of three courses operated by Meadows Country Club. With a layout that sprawls across more than 50 acres, the par-63 layout feels more like a championship par-72 course. The layout is comprised of nine par 4s, eight par 3s, and one par 5. The course rewards accuracy and good shot placement, meaning it's not strength that matters but being able to strategize. The seventh hole is a memorable par 3 that appears simple enough thanks to a massive and seemingly inviting green, but the problem isn't hitting the green but getting your shot on the same level as the pin. There is a 5-foot slope that runs through the green, the severity of which is matched only by some of the greens at Augusta National.

Super Bowl Sunday
Friendly place. Fun place. Greens in great shape and hold nicely. But slow as molasses. Maybe cuz it rained?? Nice place to practice parc3’s!
Great challenging ourse requiring precision shot making. Challenging double tiered greens. Most chipping areas are in poor shape with tight hardpan lies throughout the course. I love playing this course but hate the chipping conditions. The greens are in very good shape.
Very Poor Condition
While the greens were in good condition, the course was in terrible shape with tee boxes and fairways devoid of grass.
The driving range is not available to guests and the place is generally not inviting.
We will not return to this course again.
Course was so so. Greens were surprisingly in excellent shape. The tee-boxes are in sad- sad poor shape, on nearly every hole. The fairways are dead, mostly from the recent frost. It's an exceptable course with so many other courses Full. Either play here or wait to play somewhere on another day...
Course Conditions Could Be Better
I really like the course layout at the Groves however during the winter season the pace of play is catatonic. Frankly too many people. The chipping areas around the greens are all poorly maintained and virtually all the lies on the fairway are super tight lies. The greens are very quick especially down hill & down grain buy they roll true. Bottom line - the course could use a little TLC to be rated any higher.

Staff Friendliness was Fair - I asked to get balls to hit on the driving range and was told curtly the practice area is for "Members Only" but there are a few hitting nets for guests.
Pace Of Play was Poor - Our round finished 38 minutes behind schedule.
Course Conditions were Average - brown fairways and potholes in the cart paths.
Value For The Money was Fair - The afternoon round off GolfNow was about $45, so I guess you get what you pay for.
Course Layout was Fair - Cypress is a very short course with only one Par 5 hole.
Off-Course Amenities were Fair - One little snack bar for guests and no beverage cart service.
Not a fan of their "Members Only" policy / attitude.
I will not be going back to Meadows Golf Club, there are too many other better clubs in the area.
