Love this course and everything about it, but the fairways need some love after all the rain.

My third time playing here when I’m in town. . Pretty surroundings. Some areas of the fairways could be better maintained but overall good. Greens roll true. Great titliest rental clubs.

I went to this golf course by using golfnow pre-paid hotdeal.

I arrived at the golf course 30 minutes before tee-off time on November 13th. But someone who working in golf course said that I could not use the golf course because of the wind.

The reason I got angry is that they have not told me in advance that I can not use the golf course. If golf course had contacted me in advance, I would have been able to save my time.

The staff at the golf shop kindly proceeded with the refund process. However, the refund process is not over yet, and I hope that the refund will be completed safely.

Great golf day, started on time, Starter keep everyone organized and teeing off on time, he was very friendly; the greens are in great shape, firm, fast with true roll, several holes with water hazard, would definitely play it again. Pro Shop and bar are in a mobile home, no drink cart on the course.

Nice course that is fairly priced. Fun layout and was is good condition. Only complaint was how slow the start was. Had a 6:54 tee time on a Sunday and did not tee off until 7:15 or so. There was no course starter and a lot of confusion on order of pairings.

It was obvious from the start of check-in that GolfNow and the course weren't in sync. I ended up re-booking for the same time so that their computers would accept the tee time.

The course itself was horrible. We quit after 13 holes because we were on a 5 hour pace and I had family obligations.

This used to be much cheaper but now that it's a JC course too expensive for the middle man. But course was in pretty good shape. They need a cart girl on the course. Would play again if the Price is Right

Played Woods Valley on 8/4 as first stop on our San Diego golf trip.

Nice course. Fun layout. Not overly difficult but can jump up and grab you if not paying attention. A variety of holes that make you use all your clubs. Enjoyed all the Par 3s. The greens were in very good shape, a little slow but consistent. Some hardpan areas along sides of fairways and in places you shouldn't be in but suspect the prolonged drought down here has something to do with that.

Staff in pro shop and restaurant were very nice and accommodating. Left my GPS in golf cart and they had it for me when I came back a couple of days later to get it. Awesome.

Pace of play was good since we started in the afternoon as a twosome - had to wait a bit on foursome in front but that is expected due to numbers. Bogged down a bit on the back nine as course allows nine-hole groups to fill the gaps between groups making the turn. Not a big deal except the long wait on 11 allowed the drunk idiots behind us to catch up and had to deal with their nonsense most of the back side.

Really liked the course and staff. Would have been nice to have a marshal to get the group in front of us to catch up . Will be back to play again!

Had not been to Wood's Valley in a few years so thought we'd give it another try. What we found is that like a lot of other courses in the area, water is an issue as evidenced by fairway grass that appears to be very thirsty along with hard/tight lies and a few bare spots.

A winter as dry as this one has been and the cost of water makes it very tough on operators of many local courses. Of a more positive note, the greens are good to excellent as are the tee boxes, and the staff is excellent, so we'll be back.

I was pleasantly surprised by my first trip to this course. It's a bit narrow for a fair amount of the holes. Pace of play was great. Greens roll true. A great layout and good strategy. I would definitely play here again.

Ifyour are booking through Golfnow, I would recommend calling first to make sure there is no tournament scheduled for that day. I was put in the middle of a shot-gun tournament and every hole had 2 groups waiting on the teebox. Ridiculous. I am also a paying customer.

On the otherhand, the course is in great condition thanks to JC. And as always, the layout is challenging but fun and will require you to use every club in your bag. I just had to vent about the painful 6-hour round I just endured.

good mix of hole design. course doesn't get stagnant and pace of play was good. greens were very slow but at least consistent and not too difficult
